Since I have never physically worked on a Indesit, I can only tell you what a normal washing machince diagnosis would be: Drain pump is not functioning. Possibly something clogging the intake (count you socks) or just stopped working.
My supplier does not have Indesit parts so can't give you the part number for the drain pump.
Thanks for the help Houston, however I replaced the drain pump this morning, and it seems as though there is no power going to it, though the rest of the machine is fully functioning!
Is that a manual turn dial switch. If so, you probably have a problem with it. When they roatate, they make the electrical connections to the 2 speed transmission and the drain pump at the same time. It could be a loose or broken wire between the switch and the drain pump.
It is, will take a look at the circuits a little later, thanks for your help :-)
You are welcome, sorry I couldn't have been more help.
You've been more than halpful! Thanks again!

Agree check voltage is leading up to the pump if not then its a fault within the control board
Before the drain pump is replaced it is important that you confirm the pump voltage from the program controller unit at the time of DRAIN. If there is no voltage and since you have replaced with a new pump, the chances are that the controller unit is a suspect as there is no output. It can be a cconnection fault or a damaged driver.
