Service Support Nikon Instruments Microscopes and Imaging Systems
My best advice is to contact the support for the instrument. Avoid DIY without expert guidance as the potential for damage to the precision instrument exists which could result in costly repair or replacement.

Be sure the oven is disconnected from the wall first. Then open the door. Remove the two screws from the top of the grille. Next, slide the grille to the left to remove it. Before you slide the charcoal filter out, be sure to note how it rests at an angle on 2 side support tabs and in front of the right rear tab. After it's replaced, you can press OPTIONS until you come to the Charcoal Filter Reminder. Then you can press 0 to turn the reminder off, press 1 to set the reminder, or press 3 to turn the reminder on.

I have the same model. There are 2 sscrews that hold the grill cover on. One problem might be that your cabinet are covering those screws. They are both located about 1" back from the front edge of the door. The left side is about 3.5" from the left edge & the right side is 8.25" from the right side of the unit. My cabinets are 12" deep & I am able to access the grill cover screws with no problems.
SOURCE: Loose Lens Holder
I seem unable to get a user or service manual online, however at a guess I would think that the retaining mechanism is inside the "head" of this beastie, so in order to access you would need to undo the screw that retains the viewing piece, this should give you access to the internals, however you have to be vary carefull that you do not contaminate the microscope. it may be easier to send it to be "cleaned" and hopefully when it returns it will have been tightened up.

Just give it a firmish pull upward, its held on with spring clips only. The air filters are either side under plastic covers. Youwill need a torxs screwdriver of the correct size
