Alternator Belt Replacement for Stairmaster 4000PT Stepper

Stairmaster Stepper 4000PT Alternator Belt Replacement WARNING: The belts must be properly tensioned. A belt that is too loose will cause slow and sluggish operation. A belt that is too tight will cause excessive noise and belt wear.
  1. Remove side covers.
  2. Loosen the adjustment screw that mounts the alternator to the alternator brace and the pivot adjusting bolt that mounts the alternator to the frame.
  3. Pivot the alternator down and remove the belt.
  4. Make sure the is centered on the pulleys during installation.
  5. Pivot the alternator up or down as necessary to allow 1/4" (0.6 cm) of belt deflection with fingertop pressure at the midpoint between the two pulleys.
  6. Tighten the alternator adjustment bolt. Verify 1/4" (0.6) deflection in the belt.
  7. Reinstall the covers

How to set up governor for Generac GN-220 motor

The circuit board controller is monitoring the engine rpm and frequency and thus controls the frequency, via the governor actuator, or stepper motor as you say. You can't adjust it. I doubt this is the problem it sounds like either engine is not delivering HP, or there is a stator short causing excessive load / current draw bogging the unit down, incorrect wiring of the stator output. Ha someone taken the stator output leads off the breaker? check the stator resistance and shorts to ground.

2004 chevy trailblazer LS EXT. My gas gauge is not reading the gas amount and it keeps moving. Gas level can be at half and as I drive it drops but when I stop it moves back to half. Fill it up to where it...

This sounds like the fuel level sensor in the gas tank is going bad, or there is a bad ground at the tank. A technician using a scan tool can monitor the actual fuel level data to verify.
Another possibility is a bad stepper motor in the instrument panel, each gauge had a stepper motor to drive the needle.

1993 Pontiac Grand Prix 3.4 idles very high when cold. About 3000 - 3500 RPM. It then slows down to normal once fully warmed up. Any ideas? It does not turn on a check engine light at all.

OBD 1 it wont give it and key off the memory resets itself . your source of the problem is the IAC this is a stepper motor a worn one will do exactly what is happening to yours its movement is a jack screw and it tend to get worn moving in one direction then the other after so many miles it just cant turn the pintle anymore and wears out, That or the ECT is not giving the correct temp. Just take care of the IAC and your done

Sounds like the power supply/motor drive board is bad. You might consider a new printer or repair the power supply. The printer is obsolete and only a few parts are currently available from Sato

its the tilt thing, you have to have it replaced for $200, or go to a mechanic and have him adjust it the level you want and let him deactivate the tilt from electricity. Best thing I ended up with my millenia :)
