If the memory card cannot be read when the camera is connected to the computer, then what you can do is to put the memory card to a usb memory card reader and plug it into your computer. The system will read it as an external drive. Once the memory card has been detected, the computer will show you as one of the drive letters under My Computer.

Hope this helps. Thank you for using FixYa.

Cant get camera to download photos on computer

With all digital cameras the maker delivers a CD (DVD) with software to install on your computer. This makes it possible to put the pictures from the camera on any computer. On the disk(s) are drivers for all operating systems that need them. (Windows 7 and up do have all drivers for hardware that is certified by Microsoft) And there are programs to download the pictures from the camera to the PC. Sometimes the manufactures also delivers software to organise the pictures in folders and software to view or even enhance the pictures you shot.
When you lost the disk, most of the time you can get the software on the website for your brand. Sometimes you even get newer, updated software and new drivers if needed.
If you can't get software form your brand, you always can install other generic software like Ulead, Pixir, BeFunkey, Gimp, Photoshop express. Or if that is not possible you could install an external memory card reader and download the pictures via de memory card reader.

Download cannon pictures

John
When you view the pictures you should have an option to choose or check off which photos you want to download.

Try opening your disc where the photos are from your File Manager on your computer.

Go to your lower left corner and right click your mouse on Start and open Windows Explorer.

then look at your drives of your computer on the left side of the screen
You should see C drive and search for the photos or open the folder with the photos and whichever drive you have your photo disc in.

When you click on this drive your computer may ask "would you like to view the photos with MS photo viewer or something similar.

View the photos first, they will open all at once. You should have a spot to click in and put a check mark to download ONLY those photos from the disc to the laptop.

Give that a try. Of course if it states "would you like to download all the pictures, click NO if available.

Olympus digital camera cant download photos from camera to computer

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

My samsung es55 camera will not take a photo

The card can also read as 'locked' if there is no memory left on the card and/or if it is not designed for the camera you have. Try all tips above first and if the problem still exists, would recommend buying a new memory
card with more space such as a 4GB or more.

Hi i have a fujifilm finepix S1 pro, was working yesterday, today came to putting memory card in and it wouldnt work 'card not initialised', tried formatting the card on the pc a few times didnt...

1. You should always format memorycards for cameras IN the camera itself.

2. Try another memorycard and check if all is working fine.

3. If you get the same problem, check if the memorycard is well seated into your
camera. If so, your camera may need service.

When i shift the photos from the memory card they loose quality, can anyone know where the problem is?

Photos viewed on the camera screen usually appear to have "better" quality than on your computer screen because the tiny camera screen masks out many of the defects that are there. The computer screen is big and will show all of the defects clearly.
