SOURCE: looking for installation instructions for a Neff B1691 oven

Neff have some downloadable installation instructions at www.neff.co.uk select neff owners, then customer service, this opens a new window which has instruction manuals as an option, select this and then enter an E number for the model ( i tried B1664) a similar single oven and this brought up a pdf file. At the end p67 it gives cable sizes and types and connection details which should give you what you need.

Turn the right hand button onto the ECS symbol. This is the cleaning cycle. Make sure you put some soapy water in the 'well' at the bottom of the oven. The oven is then steam cleaned.

HI. this is a oven temp sensor failure notice. you will need to check the wires leading from the temp sensor to the control. if the wires are in good condition and , the sensor harness is not welded, replace the temp sensor asap.

you have to remove the shelf supports (left and right) as well as the shelves. The manual tells you about the shelves but not the supports. I only found out as someone wrote the answer on another website

Common heating faults with Neff B1691 single oven

For all Free appliance repair videos visit our VIDEO TUTORIALS 1, If the Neff fan motor in the back of the oven is going round and the temperature light is on (normally little red light), but there is no heat then you will probably need a new oven element, these are generally very easy to fit and readily available from our website these can be tested with a electric meter.
To gain access to the NEFF element you will have to remove the back plate from inside the oven. Once removed you will see the fan and element, if you look closely at the element you will probably see a small hole burnt in it where it has blown. Sometimes however there is no evidence of a fault but the element is open circuit ie: broken inside the element casing, either way it will need replacing. Some elements will are fixed from inside the oven and some are held in place by nuts from the rear of the machine.
2, If your NEFF fan oven is getting warm but takes a very long time to cook or is burning the food more on one side than the other, then you need to check if your oven fan motor is working you will see the blade turning fast if it is ok. if the element is heating but the fan motor is not blowing the heat into the oven then you need To replace the oven fan motor is a little more expensive and a bit more involved.
3. If you have the opposite problem ie: your oven is over heating and burning everything then you will need to replace your NEFF oven thermostat
4, A quite common and easily overlooked answer is if your NEFF oven is not working at all ie: no heat and no fan then the chances are that someone has put the oven timer into AUTO mode, simply put oven back to MANUAL mode and all should be working again.

Is the interior of the Neff B1691 oven made from vitreous enamel? The manual only describes it as 'enamel.' I'd like to use Oven Pride cleaner on it but it says to only leave the product on for two hours...

I have searched diligently and cannot find what the interior of the oven is made of. I suggest you open the owner's manual and find contact information for the manufacture. Call or email them for an answer.

Hi got a NEFF B1691 oven. Thing is the oven light, element and fan keep switching off during cooking is this correct functionality - if not what could be wrong? The temperature display remains functioning...

There does seem to be a fault, as the fan should run continuously even when the element goes off at the required temperature setting, and the light should atay on as well.
It suggests to me that there is a fault with the oven thermostat, or it is wired incorrectly.

My neff oven error -5-. How do i turn this off?

I also had an error 5 on my Neff B1691 cooker. This indicates that a child lock has been set. To unlock you just push and hold the central control button in for about 7-8 seconds. Do the same again to set the lock again...

Intermittent tripping of circuit as oven just reaches temp

Sounds like the oven element is cracked and absorbing moisture when the oven cools down thus causing it to trip. Should buy a new element. there are hundreds of suppliers on the internet.
