Sometimes the locks can be reset by putting the prong of opened paper clip into hole on lock where it slides in and out. This withdraws lockbar. set the new code you want on number pad. pull out paperclip. new code is set.
Luggage manufacturer Samsonite offers a variety of business, personal, travel products and accessories. Many Samsonite pieces such as attaches and other bags include a three-digit, built-in combination lock. When purchased, the locks are set on a factory default combination that you can change as often as you wish.
STEP 1
Turn the number dials to the previously set combination, or to "0-0-0", the factory default combination for Samsonite luggage.
STEP 2
Locate the reset button, usually placed to the side of the combination dials.
STEP 3
Press the reset button and hold it while rotating the number dials to the desired combination. Set this to a sequence easy for you to remember but hard for others to figure out.
STEP 4
Release the reset button after you set the numbers to the new combination.
STEP 5
Test the combination by turning the dials to the new code to open the lock. If the combination does not open the lock, repeat Steps 1 through 4 and test the lock again. If you still can't open the lock, contact Samsonite Customer Service at 800-765-2247.
Hello my name is Troy Ruff, I run a small production company called, Ruff Productions. The issue is when I move the head slowly it makes a popping sound and it ruins the shot every time. This has to be a defect. I bought this about a year and a half ago and it started doing this about 6 months in, I keep really good care of my stuff and have used it maybe fifty times. I spent around $1800.00 and I really need this fixed, I do a lot of short films and some feature films. Please let me know what I can do to get this fixed as soon as possible. Thank you for your time. Troy Ruff Ruff Productions 559-907-0000 web: www.ruffproductions.net
When you open the briefcase on the inside to the right of where the combination is in the center there is a metal lever sticking out. Push this lever to the left and hold it there while you change the combination numbers.
When you let the lever spring back to it's normal position, the numbers set will be the new combination.
There is no quick fix, it wouldn't be very secure if there was.
There are 999 possible combinations remaining and if you start at 001 you'd be extremely unlucky to need to go through all of them. Try 999 straight away though, sometimes the tumblers can appear to be set to 000 when they're actually at 999.
