How do I clean my cache

As you surf the Web and enter log in information, some sites store your personal information in files called cookies.

Cookies save your log in data so that you don't have to enter the information each time you visit a site.

In addition, some sites save site data such as images and documents in your browser's cache.

These temporary files can speed up the time it takes to visit the website in the future.

If you want to get rid of cookies and cache data, you can do so by following a few steps.

Open Internet Explorer and select "Safety" on the toolbar.

Select "Delete Browsing History..." and select the boxes next to "Cookies" and "Temporary Internet Files."

Click "Delete" to clean your cache and cookies.

Firefox

Open Firefox and select the "Tools" menu. Click "Clean Recent History."

Select "Everything" from the drop-down menu next to "Time Range to Clear."

Select the boxes next to "Cache" and "Cookies" in the list below "Details."

Click "Clear Now" to erase your cache and cookies.

Google Chrome

Open Google Chrome and click the "Wrench" icon to the right of the address bar.

Select "Options" and click the "Under the Hood" tab. Click "Clear Browsing Data" under "Privacy" and select the boxes next to "Empty the Cache" and "Delete Cookies and Other Site Data.

" Select "Everything" from the "Clear Data From This Period:" drop-down menu.

Click "Clear Browsing Data" to empty your cache and delete your cookies.

Hope this helps.

I have been trying for more than a week to get access to my Yahoo account and so far I cannot get on. For the questions, the computer does not accept the answer that I know I typed in. even the ID and name...

Try this.
Clearing your internet browser's Cookies and Cache
Internet browsers store small text files that a web site puts on your computer's hard drive when you access the web site, these are called Cookies. Internet browsers additionally store a copy of the web sites that you visit for faster loading purposes, this is called the Cache. We've found that clearing your cookies and cache usually takes care of a lot of issues. When you need to clear your cookies and cache, follow the instructions below for your browser and version.
Internet Explorer 6.0:
  1. Choose Internet Options... from Internet Explorer's Tools menu.
  2. Click the Delete Cookies button, and choose OK when prompted.
  3. Click the Delete Files button, and select to Delete all offline content.
  4. Click OK when prompted.
  5. In the bottom right-hand corner of the Internet Options window, click the Clear History button, and choose OK when prompted.
  6. Click the OK button at the bottom of the Internet Options window.
  7. Close and restart your browser.

  4. Click the Delete button.
  5. Click the OK button at the bottom of the Internet Options window.
