LG-LCD 42in. tv-Cracked screen...just bought it and it feel from shelf on wall. I keep thinking if I sell it cheap to a local repair shop, maybe he can get a discounted part and fix it and sell it...I am trying to get something out of it rather than totally trashing it away..is this possible?

I think the remote is broken ,you need replace a new one.

Kids eh... who needs em..nothing but trouble. Anyway it's stuffed. It'll cost more to try and fix than to git a new one so sell the kid git a new telly and no more problems.

There is no other way than replace the panel. Warrany do not cover with this kind of destruction.

The short answer is a cracked LCD is not worth repairing.

Sorry,tv now it is not worth fixing,because the tv LCD screen panel are 90% important to the tv and it is in limited production by the tvs corporations,by replacing the tv LCD screen panel will cost the same as a new tv.Sorry tvs with a broken or damages LCD screen panels are tvs only can be used as salvages tvs only for it electronic boards for other tvs only now.

Unfortunately the only option with a cracked screen is to buy a new tv. These screens are more expensive to replace than to buy a new tv. The only other option you may have is to sell the tv with the cracked screen to someone for parts who has the same model tv or maybe a tv repair shop will buy it from you. With that being said, you might can call some repair shops and who knows, maybe they have a screen from a disposed tv that will work. Whatever the case you are better off just buying a new tv and either keeping that one or selling it for parts.

Unfortunately a new LCD panel are extremly expensive. most of the time it would be more cost effective to just buy a new one. An option to get rid of the cracked one would be to call around to local repair shops and see if they would buy the tv for parts or put it on a craigslist type of site and sell it.
