Computer, Chip, Cruise Control for Volkswagen Eos Logo
Posted on Aug 15, 2011

2007 Eos bought end of May w/ 109K miles. Cruise Control switch doesn't work. If in ON position when cranked AND I can get up to a cruise-worthy speed, it'll work. But, then, sometimes it'll go out when I hit the button to set the speed, or won't come on again after I brake. Cannot turn back on with the switch. Also, the lumbar support doesn't fill or move anymore. It did expand when I first got the car. Have called 2 dealers, and one auto electrical company, and none of them say this is a common problem, or one they've even dealt with. Any ideas?

The cruise control issue is a common problem. The switch that is behind the steering wheel tends to wear out and the whole stalk will have to be replaced. I had the same problem with mine. It would work intermittently and over time it stopped working all together. I replaced the stalk and it was fixed

How do I set cruise control on 2001 buick lesabre limited. just bought car have no manual. cant get it to set.

If you push on and set and nothing happens, the system may not be working properly.
You can get an owners manual on Ebay.

2007 Taurus cruise not working. I've have checked the fuses, replaced the switches on the steering wheel, replaced the servo, and replaced the deactivation switch on the brake pedal. Any other suggest

While you\'re still blindly changing parts, just go to pull a part and pull a body control module, a cruise control module, and an engine computer. Send me all the stuff you change out that doesn\'t fix anything, I can test them and sell them.By then, you should have enough money for a mechanic in used part sales.

Cruise control not working

The adjustment of the brake light switch or it could be bad. the brake lights can work fine and the part of the switch that works the cruise doesn't The swiches that control it from the steering wheel can losse connection in a part called the clock spring. Vacume connections can effect the cruise but yours is likly cables less therefore doesn't work the cruize.

What causes cruise control not to work in dodge charger ?

The most common cause that I've seen on these vehicles is the cruise control switch. But before you replace this switch, I recommend disconnecting the battery for about 20 minutes. Note that I mean the battery in the trunk. All you need to do is take the negative (black) cable off and leave it off for about 20 minutes. If this doesn't help, the switch/stalk is the most common cause.

The cruise control in my 1989 305 v-8 pontiac firebird doesn't stay engaged. it will hold cruise , but after a few miles , it disengages.

The older vehicles used vacuum to control the Cruise. Check for a leak in the vacuum system. Using a can of starting fluid, spray the vacuum lines and fittings lightly. If the engine revs up after a spray, it'e most likely the leak.

We just bought a 2006 R/T Hemi V-8 Magnum. The cruise does not work. It worked the other day, but thats it. How can we fix this? I need cruise control!

Its possible that you have a faulty crank shaft position sensor. Mine went out in my 05 RT and the car stalled frequently at stoplights and the cruise control would not work. It could be something else but after replacing my crank sensor I haven't had an issue.

Cruise control not working, will not engage. No

Me too, 2007 with 33K miles. I read low brake fluid will cause the issue. I need to buy some.
