There are other safety switches as well. The electrical diagram shows (2) of the interlock switches (part no. 16 in diagram) in the electrical system. The location of the 2nd one could be on the transmission or the clutch/brake pedal. It could also be on the PTO system (blade actuator if you will). See if you can find the other switch on your unit. I have an LT1000 and have NOT looked for them. Here is an electrical diagram on your unit.

Why did Craftsman LT2000 stopped moving? Engine starts and blade engages fine.

The transmission drive belt is a separate one from the blade belt. The clutch pedal when released puts tension on the transmission drive belt so it tightens up and drives the gearbox pulley by way of a large spring. Make sure the spring is ok. The belts don't last forever and probably needs replacing looking at the age of the machine. That is a fun job as it is right up under the machine and runs from the engine pulley right back to the top of the transmission. You have to drop the deck right off and I usually find a tree with a large branch and haul the front up with a rope or winch so the mower is vertical. Makes it easier to work on. Drain petrol first though. Hope this helps otherwise get a mower shop to do it for you if you feel it's to much of a task. Good luck.

Craftsman Model 917.259566 Tractor starts perfectly, but stalls out when the clutch is released. Whats happening?

Most likely your seat safety switch is not working. In order for the engine to run with blade engaged, the operator present switch must be made when the brake is taken off (releasing clutch).

I have a 42in cut 19.5hp automatic trans craftsman when i press the clutch/brake to start then release to drive it cuts off also if i try to engage the blades it cuts off but if i lock the clutch/brake it...

The problem is in the seat safety switch or associated wiring. Lift the seat, find the switch, and take a look for a connector that is off, a broken wire, or a loose or broken mounting for the switch. If all that seems ok, remove the switch and put tape across the plunger so it is activated. Run the mower and see if the problem is solved. If not, replace the switch - it's not expensive. Parts are available from Sears online or at their stores. You'll need the model number of your tractor. Good luck! Please rate my solution if helpful.

I have a LT2000 Lawn Tractor. When I let out the brake/clutch or engage the blades the engine dies. Prior to doing this the engine runs fine.

You need to look at the park brake switch,if there is no debris then you need to replace the switch,if there is then remove the debris and retry. You may also have a bad seat switch, which you can confirm by jumping the plug that goes to the seat with a piece of wire that has been "skin back".Just cross the wires with the jumper you have made and if all is good then order a new seat switch.,
