My Toshiba Satellite A45 S120 keyboard has a problem, some of the keys are not working. When you type it does noting. Sometimes when you start the computer, it continuously types the letter eeeeeeee. You can hit some keys randomly and this will stop, but if you start a program (eg. ms word) the same thing happens.

A beep sound generally occurs with a stuck key. You need to find the stuck key and release it if possible. If it cannot be released then you need to replace the keyboard.

It's possible it could be software related. Though this problem below is on a IBM thinkpad.

Go to the control panel, and check the keyboard settings. There is a setting that makes the speaker beep each time a key is pressed.

My toshiba laptop satellite pro L300 one number key 4 and ESC key n/w

You need a replacement keyboard. You can get one from ebay for about $25. Just search for "toshiba satellite pro L300 keyboard" without the quote.

How do I replace the keyboard?

next to the F1 key and the windows key (2nd upper key and second to last key) are two screws, usually under some covering. unscrew and lift top edge of the keyboard towards the trackpad to lay face down. Undo the wire ribbon by lifting the grey or brown tabs and remove ribbon and keyboard. Then install the new keyboard by inserting the ribbon on the place. Lock down with the tabs and put the plastic prongs (close to the space bar) into the laptop body first, and then close keyboard onto the final position. screw back in and thats all. [email protected] for any additional questions.

Toshiba a120 bios password

It cannot be removed using software.

To remove the password you will have to remove the CMOS battery located on the lower side of the motherboard.

To access the battery the computer must be disassembled completely.
