After you fill the top portion, do you pour the water into the bottom half of it? Sometimes after I fill up the bucket (that is the top half) I have forgottent to pour it into the bottom half and I have hit start and that is exactly what it will do.
Check Temp inside freezer. It has to be down to about 10 or 15 degrees See if water is in icemaker. Pour water in Ice Maker and wait to see if it ejects. If it ejects theb you need to replace water valve in rear bottom of fridge(Its the part that attaches to water line out of wall) If it doesn't eject then it is a faulty Ice Maker. If its leaking same part needs replaced. The water valve at the bottom rear of fridge. Thank you for using fixya Leo Ponder Please rate me if this helped.
If it really poured out , I would say a hose split. Either the upper or lower rad hose , or a heater hose.
The thermostat is inside a metal housing , so not likely. Water pump would be a slower leak.
A cracked expansion bottle might leak fast , but only a couple of litres. I suggest filling up cooling system , and physically looking for the leak.
Check the belt first. Is this a serpentine belt? If so make sure you routed it the right way. The water maybe pouring out of the overflow because the pump is going the wrong way
The water hose plugs into the solution valve-pressure on the side of the noozle(bottom). There may be a water line that has come loose there, you will have to take the top off to get to it.
