I just finished changing the gasket on my Coleman air conditioner on top of a travel trailer. From the inside, when I was tightening one of the bolts, I heard a snap and found the white wire broken at the silver connector, coming from the air conditioner. I can't seem to find where it connects on the air conditioner. It has two connections at the other end that goes into "F" and "F" prongs on the wire box..

Either your 14"x14" a/c gasket is lose on the roof allowing the condensation to flow into your RV or you have a cracked condensation tray under the evaporator. I'm guessing the later

the fan motor bearings need lub....the shaft has a tiny access hole to put some oil into. because the fan shaft is slowing down, it is putting more strain on the voltage current, and eventually the internal breaker shuts down the ac........plus your condenser is not getting enough air accross it, compressor heats up, and it too will shut the unit down......older units have to be oiled every year, and eventually it too will fail, and a new blower motor assembly is needed or replace the ac unit.....blower motor units are around $130....now you install it or pay to have it done at around another $150 labor,,,,,try yourself, if it fails then call the tech........let me know [email protected]

It's likely that the contacts are stuck closed. You can usually just tap them with a screw driver and they will open but then you should replace them. If you don't know where they are. Find the power wires coming inside the unit and follow them. Contacts are fairly easy to replace as long as you do it wire for wire. In other words when you remove a wire from the old attach it to the new before removing another. I hope this helps. Please don't forget to give me a Fixya rating.

If this is a park model trailer like mine, there is a transformer in what they call the ceiling package. It is mounted up inside the return air plenum.

I have a 2010 30' cougar travel trailer, we have never used the air conditioner which is a coleman mach model, when I put it on auto and cool it blows cool air but never gets cold am I suposed to

Check the temperature of the air coming out the vent If it's more than 10 degrees below the air going in it's ok. If it's the same temperature, the condensing system may be not working. The compressor may just be a quiet one!

I have a travel trailer with a coleman 7300 roof top ac unit. the unit will blow cold air but water leaks thru the plenum. i was told by the previous owner that it needs a new seal. i would like to fix it...

If it's leaking inside where filter cover is, then real good chance the drains being plugged is the only problem. If water (condensation) not running off roof when operating in cool mode, then I'd bet drains, which are located under unit on roof, and you should see them sticking down like buttons. They have a hole in side that needs cleaning with a pipe cleaner or similar to open them up. If need be, shut off power to unit and remove top cover on roof unit and look for the drain holes in base, and clean them out. If water comes in while raining, but AC not running, then it's gasket. That is remedied by removing ceiling assembly (just screws) and 4 bolts that pull/hold the upper and lower assemblies together, unplug wiring to upper unit, and simply lift it off, change gasket and re-install. Tighten those 4 bolts equally when gasket is aligned properly over hole, only until gasket is approx 1/2, original thickness. Plug harness back in and your done. (about an hours work.) Only other thing that may be wrong is styrofoam drip tray for cooling unit, under cover on roof may have a crack , allowing condensation to leak in. If that 's the case, you can try to find a sealant compatible with styrofoam to seal those cracks.

Water leak

If you remove the air grill for the inside part you will find four screws which when tightened compress the seal gasket under the outside to roof. It may be a case of these screws being somewhat loose.
