Here are the steps to enter the programming code into your RCA Universal Remote:

1. Manually turn on the device you want to control.
2. Find the Code List. Locate the section for the type of device you would like to control and find your brand in that section. Write down the code(s).
3. Press and hold the device key you want to program. The on/off key light comes on.
4. While holding the device key, use your other hand to enter the first five digit code for your brand from the list. The on/off key light goes off after the first digit.
5. When finished entering the code, keep holding down the device key and look at the on/off key light. If the light is on, you have successfully programmed your remote. If the light blinks four times and turned off, you have entered a code number that is not in the code lists or have missed a step in the code procedure. Try the previous step again.
