GT-30V12 GTECL GE Christmas LED power supply

I bought a GE 7.5ft pre-lit Christmas tree after the 2014 Christmas season. It worked well for the 2015 season, until the day before Christmas. No lights at all. After some checking, it looked like the power supply was no good. It was still under warranty, so I called and got a free replacement power supply and foot switch. All good.

The power supply model is GT-30V12 and it was manufactured 0514 (May 2014)

I had done some looking around, and could not find a replacement power supply anywhere. It's an odd voltage - Input: 120V 0.23amp Output: 29VDC 12W
So, after the tree was fixed, I took the old power supply apart and fixed it.

The broken power supply had no output voltage. I cut the top off the housing with a Dremel-like cutter - mostly melted it off. I nicked a couple of the internal components, so be careful. The problem was a broken connector to one of the 120V prongs. A small part of the connector was broken off - you can see it in one of the pictures. There was no evidence of heat damage. I have no idea how it got broken. The broken connector normally wraps around the prong. It's U-shaped and both ends appear to be attached to the circuit board. So, I soldered both broken ends to the prong. Then I soldered the other prong. Plugged it in and got 28.9V DC. Wrapped it duct tape, and now I have a spare.
