Learn About an Aircraft, Part 1

First we'll cover panel instruments and how they're used.

Familiarize yourself with the six pack. The six instruments in the center of the instrument panel used mostly for IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) and are always in the following order:

  • Top left: The "Airspeed Indicator" shows aircraft airspeed, in knots. (nautical miles) per hour. It also displays the airspeed limitations in white, green, yellow, and red arcs.

  • Top center: The "Artificial Horizon" Has a small aircraft symbol that depicts the aircraft required attitude, for level flight, and shows whether the aircraft is climbing or descending, as well as the angle of bank.

  • Top right: The "Altimeter" a three hand clock type instrument that shows altitude of the aircraft in feet MSL, (feet above mean sea level).

  • Lower left: The "Turn and Bank Indicator" is a dual instrument which tells your angle of bank and whether you are in a coordinated turn. Sometimes called the "Needle Ball". For straight and level flight, keep the wings level and the ball centered.

  • Lower center:The "Heading Indicator". A stable gyro instrument that shows the aircraft's current compass heading. Use the Control Wheel to keep the aircraft on the desired heading.

  • Lower right: The "Vertical Speed Indicator" which tells how fast you are losing or gaining altitude, in feet per minute. Keep this instrument at zero to maintain level flight.

INTERIOR FRONT DOOR PANEL VOLVO S40 2006 your problem?

There are Six screws In total. One behind the handle, two along the edge of the panel and another one by the pocket inside the door, there is another where you grab by the switches. Its covered by a small plastic cover that clips in to place,

That will allow the switch pack to be pulled up and disconnected, there is also one behind the speaker cover,You also have to pry off the cover for the back of the mirror, once all the screws are out, you'll pull the lower edge toward you and lift the panel straight up to clear the lock rod,Pull the bottom edge toward you and then push the panel up. The top edge of the panel sits in a channel on the sealing strip for the window, so you'll have to give the panel a bit pf a push,It also has to clear the bracket that the switch pack was screwed to. Hpe this helps, glad to have been of service to you.

How do I access DLC Port location in a 2002 Honda Odessey Minivan?

On 2002 Honda Truck Odyssey 3.5L MFI SOHC VTEC 6cyl the OBD Diagnostic Link Connector is located under the instrument panel in the driver's side. It is bolted to the kick panel and is gray in color on the 1998 and newer models.

Also refer to Haynes manual in the emissions and engine control system section .

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

windstar 2000, speedometer, odometer, gas, temp, indicators wildly go back and forth, stick at one extreme or the other, if speedometer sticks below 0, can't put into park. master cylinder switch replaced, just replaced alternator, have replaced indicator panel 3 times, still having problem, what is the fix, my mechanic can't figure it out, dealership says they don't know

same thing happens with my 2000 windstar, if you could take the instrument panel out, and unscrew the the back of the instrument panel that covers the circuit board and clean the circuit with a brush, pure bristle brush is best 'coz they're stiff and gets all the dust that accumulated on the circuit board. some dust particles contain conductive material and shorts the circuit board and cause the trouble you have, ever since i did that no more trouble. and to those who are planning of replacing your instrument panel should do this first. it'll save you money. always change your "outside air" filter

Hello,
Start slowly. Familiarize yourself with the keys. Read the manual, one operation at a time: Addition, multiplication, etc. By constant practice you will master it soon. Do not get discouraged.

Good luck.
