Caterpillar American Construction Equipment 1:87 Scale - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
How to start a successful construction business?
I
would start at the bookstore and give yourself some time to look
through a few books. One thing to keep in mind is the market will change
each years so if it is something you interested in stay up with the
market. Try and get to know someone in the business who you may for for
in the office areas or someone is the Builder Association. Your best bet
is to try and get into the business now are a intern or employee of a
business. That way you're ahead of the game!orlando contractor

How difficult is it to change a water pump on a c15 cat engine?
Get a factory repair manual, read the repair instructions, determine if your level of skill is suited for the job, if you decide to do the job, when you finish the work you can than answer how hard it was for you.To expect someone who does not now your level of skill to determine if you can do it is not a reasonable question.

I'm working on a 3126 cat engine. Problem oil in
Sounds like high pressure oil used to actuate the injectors is bypassing one or more injectors internally. There was an issue with this on engines with 7AS / 8YL serial number prefixes. There is no real way of isolating the problem, so the fix would be to replace all six injectors.

Have a c15 that wont
Don't know about the running rough but we had the same problem with not starting after changing the fuel filter. Problem was an air lock, none of the bleeder screws/plugs on the filter housing would do anything, after talking to the mechanic at a Pete Dealer he suggested that we loosen the return fuel line (the one that comes from the back of the engine to the top back of the fuel filter housing) a few turns, just enough to allow air to leak out, then crank it, this will allow the air that is trapped in the fuel supply line to be forced out and let fuel fill the line. We had to do a lot of cranking (had jumper cables and charger hooked up) and shot (sparingly) ether into the turbo, finally started to fire and after about six times it started up! Between each cranking session we would wiggle the return hose connection and would get air out of it each time until finally there was no more air.
Hope this helps...
