remove the center cap of one of both of the rear wheels with a flat head screwdriver then use a 13mm wrench on each side and loosen the botls

Take a tape measure and check if the back wheels are same diameter. They may have given you two different size wheels so one is too small. Some machines have bigger back wheels than front - so if they sent a front wheel and a back wheel (instead of two back wheels) one may be too small. If machine has any kind of suspension measure how long each side is to see if one side is stuck in the up position.

The orange light will be on when charging, but blinking could indicate a problem with charger itself. Does it ever turn green? have you tried a multimeter, you can get a cheap one at harbor freight and see what voltage it being sent from the charger. Does the battery seem to be charging? Amazon is the best place to replace it if you need to....if the battery isnt recharging, i woulod just do that.

identify which wheel its coming from, remove the motor from the gear box and then run the motor and see if the motor grinds, if not then you have a bad gearbox

Hi, How long does it run? Typically you should get at least 45 min of run time out a fully charged battery. If it's slowing gradually and dying in just a few minutes its the battery. If it's goign full speed and then stopping suddenly, it's probably the thermal breaker located in the shift mechanism.

I'd check the fuse on the battery and make sure that it is good

on the battery, there should also be two replacement fuses on the battery

Does both wheels make a grinding sound when you turn them by hand. If so, then you might have a lose wire. But if it does not make a noise then the motor is no good. Each tire on the rear of my grandson's gator has a motor . The tires are independent of each other.

Sounds like the field winding in the motor or the circuit in the accelerator pedal in going 'open' from the heat caused by the drag on the motor while a child is riding it the Gator. Tap on the 'gas' pedal assembly while running the Gator on stands so the wheels don't touch the ground and you're not trying to follow it around while the child is driving. If that's the problem it probably won't start once it stops during the test. The circuit will go 'open' completely. The motor , on the other hand, is a little harder to diagnose since you need the 'drag' cause by the Gator hauling a weight around to cause the system to get warm from current draw and 'open' up any intermittent faults. I can't remember how tough it is to get to the motor itself since the grandkids have all gotten too big to use it now, but.. if you could keep it on stands and block the 'gas' pedal so it will run, you cah try heating the motor assembly up with a hair dryer to simulate the heat caused during normal operation. If it stops.. most likely the motor windings are going open. Good luck
