Hi, Batteries tend to fail on charging if not used for a while- try a really long charge and see - if it still fails to hold a charge - the re-chargable battery will need replacing.

the sounds run off of a separate battery source, check your battery connection under the seat

check the battery and the charger with a multimeter and make sure they are showing the correct volts, and then check the voltage wires where they connect to the motor and see if its showing the correct volts there when the foot pedal is pressed

check behind the front light

use a multimeter and check to see if you are getting power at the motor, you should be getting at least 6 volts

Call peg perego directly. You want to make sure you get the correct one , you can mess up the battery with a slightly different charger.

i'd check the charger with a multimeter and make sure that its putting out at least 6 volts, prefferably 7.2volts

turn it around and have it go the other way also have your kid sit to the inside of the seat

the whistle runs by three aaa batteries, the train engine runs from the sla battery, verify that its connected correctly

you can get one on ebay for about $6 shipped, just look for a 6v1a sla charger

please verify that the battery is showing more than 6v on a multimeter, your charger might be bad

its always on you just have to push either the sound button or the gas button

the light on the charger will turn green

the horn is run by three aaa batteries, if you remove the smoke stack you can replace them there
