The seven flashes from your parking lights is the remote starter error diagnostic. Seven flashes is the message for neutral safety wire. The toggle switch under the dash is in the off position or, if the small, thin black with white wire is not connected to ground.

You should take it to a quality reliable car stereo shop and have them check over the unit and the installation.

Most likely it is the tach lead, or the tach learning on the unit.

I see your problem and it is a shame it should cost so much to press a few buttons. How about you look at the below link and see if you can access the guides to reprogram your remote.

The problem isnt with the alarm, it is probably with the tech that installed it. If the doors all unlock after pressing the unlock but many times in a row then that means that the tech has to program double pulse unlock in the features menu. If it still only unlocks one door then he must have gone to the wrong wire for the doorlocks.

This sounds like you may be having a problem with the interface module that is used in your truck and maybe not the remote start. Depending on what kind of truck you have and it sounds like you may have a GM truck... there is an interface that is used to control your locks and bypass the security system in the truck. You maybe having an issue with that.

No this alarm does not do that. You can set it up for passive arming where 60 seconds after the last door is closed the alarm will turn itself on.

The fuse for the parking lights for the 5701 is INSIDE the command module. You have to remove the door on the module to access this fuse. If the fuse is good, check the connection. Also, do the parking lights work with the vehicle switch?
If the connections were made to release the trunk and control the windows and... the remote locks, unlocks, remote starts the vehicle, there is no programming necessary. Press and hold the aux button to release the trunk. Depending on the setup and the window control being installed, it could be level1, 2 or 3. To access these different levels: Press F then aux, Press F twice then aux, Press F three times then aux, etc.

You should also be receiving an error message. If the parking lights flash six times, it relates to the hood shutdown wire(-) or the brake shutdown wire(+). If the parking lights flash seven times, it relates to the neutral safety shutdown. Check the toggle switch under the dash and flip it to the opposite position.

Try progromming it to second car! It worked for me, but I had to figure it out for myself after buying another remote, which did not program with out difficulty and then used 400% more battery consumption. I sent it back east for warranty(still on route, and waiting). I think that it might be a common problem, and Directed is not owning up to it. With nothing but normal use and no physical damage I think that it some how lost the rolling code, and these things are only programmable once, where as the one ways are not.(what a Joke). The only solution that was suggested to me in person, or other wise was to purchase a new remote at $200! all by people that know about the system inside and out. Not planning to purchase Directeds' fancy junk anytime in the future! Unknowable and lousy service with cheaply constructed housings, and engineered electronics, poorly installed to boot! GOOD DAY!

Unplug the antenna on the windshield, let it sit for a couple minutes. Then try plugging it back in. If that doesnt work you can all them direct at 1-800-876-0800

Hi, try and see if the user has been switched from car 1 to car 2 press and hold f for 3 seconds or until the remote beeps and the lock and or unlock leds turn on. car 1 will be 1 beep and armed led on. car 2 will be 2 beeps and arm and disarm leds on. if you press the f button while the leds are still lit then you can change to car 1 or car 2. good luck.

This can be different points to check like the tag wire, voltage check or immobilizer connections.
I will recommend you to take the car at the shop and may be is still under warranty.

Are you getting any check engine light or anything? The indicator box around the gear is controlled by the Body Control Module. But the stalling is from the Engine Control Unit or a sensor sending a false signal to the ECU. If your check engine light comes on then I would suggest taking the truck to Autozone and have them put it on the scanner to pull the codes. This will help figure out what is going on. If the check engine light is not coming on, then it is probably something to do with fuel. Maybe gelling in cold weather.

Do you have the hood open? If you have the hood open then car won't remote start. It is a safety feature so the car does not start while someone is working in the engine compartment. If the hood is closed then open the hood find the hood pin and disconnect then try to remote start the vehicle again. Could have a faulty hood pin.

you would have to have a remote start unit installed on the vehicle for it to do this, but it could be a glitch in the remote as to why it doesn't always work.

The buzzing noise and lights blinking 5 times is part of the "Find my Vehicle" feature. This usually happens when/if you press the button too long. It takes a little getting use to, but keep practicing pressing the Remote Start button down for only a second or less... you should be releasing the button almost immediately after you hear it make the confirmation tone (meaning the vehicle has received the signal to start). If this doesn't help out, then you may need to go back and talk to your installer about trouble shooting!

Check to see if your security light is going off when it attempts to start the vehicle. If it is the security bypass may need to be replaced or re-learned.
