1995 chevy 350 5.7 ltr egr problem solved I have had this frustration with my 1995 chevy c1500 350 5.7 ltr , no codes show up, but it stumbles around 1500 rpm. I checked sensor after sensor and even changed a few. I had replaced the motor with a crate motor and at that time I put a new EGR valve on. It runs fine when the egr valve solenoid is unplugged. Well it turns out that the auto parts store gave me the wrong egr valve, Thanks Advance.. The correct one is the BWD EGR 101D which is a referenced to the OE number 17113371. I changed it and it runs fine.
Thank you for this information. I have run into this problem before.

I dont think I am getting power to my starter solenoid. Besides the starter relay, what else is involved with getting power to the solenoid?
well first you have the ignition switch. I would look under dash and follow the steering column wire harness for a starter kill (it would be tapped into the harness and should be easy to see.) if that is all good then you have a neutral safety switch. if you test for power at the yellow wire during crank, if good, then check purple for power during crank, if yellow has power and purple doesn't change neutral safety switch, if yellow doesn't have power then check to see if bothe red wires at switch have power all the time. if they do then change the switch.

6.5 turbo diesel wont start . new fuel pump installed, plenty of fuel to pump, no fuel to injectors. new pmd also installed. checked stop solonoid ok. ecm fuses ok. truck has had a new long block installed with injs and pump. ran great, sat overnight, went to start the next morning, started right up but only ran for 4 seconds, and that was it. glow plugs all new and working fine. want to make sure its not the inj pump, before going through all the labor, its a van application.
check the high pressure oil switch next to the glow plug controller. if the switch is bad you will not get any fuel to your injector pump. unplug the molex and jump it out. this will bypass the switch. if it runs, just buy another high pressure oil switch. good luck!

horn won't work on 1997 chevy silverado. Checked fuse ok, checked relay ok. now what?
In most cases this problem is caused by the rotating ribbon circuit contact under the steering wheel having a broken filament, the part is known as a clock spring contact, u will need to properly disarm the airbag and remove the steering wheel to access the part. WARNING: Failure to disarm the airbag system can result in an unexpected Airbag deployment and possible serious personnel injury disconnect the battery 30 minutes prior to start of work.

I changed the camshaft position sensor already which the computer indicated was a problem along with crankshaft position sensor. I chose the camshaft sensor because it was the cheapest and easiest to locate & replace.
Crankshaft position sensor is in the front of the engine under the harmonic balancer on the right side.

How to remove and replace timing chain on 4.3 chevy truck?
Remove cooling fan, all belts, radiator shroud, pulleys, water pump and harmonic balancer. Probably will need to remove the alternator and power steering pump also. Drain the coolant. loosen the oil pan removing the front 2 bolts on both sides. Take all bolts from the timing chain cover. Carefully remove it from the engine. You should be looking at the old timing chain. Rotate the crank until the two dots, one on the cam gear and the other on the crank gear, are positioned together. Cam gear dot on the bottom, crank gear dot on the top. Take out the 3 cam gear bolts. Slide both gears towards the radiator keeping them lined up. Install in reverse order.
