Hi Antonio. I just tried to upload an animated avatar and failed, so I don't believe that we allow them on the site. If you have seen an animated avatar on the site, let me know. I will figure out why I was unable to do it, and I will inform you.

Hi 03mazda6, welcome to Fixya! Glad to hear that you're interested in providing Premium Phone Support. In order to apply to provide Phone Support, you must first earn at least one Category Expert Badge. You do that by answering at least 50 free, unsolved problems in a given category, receiving at least 5 ratings on those solutions, and maintaining at least an 80% average asker rating on those solutions. There's a module on the right of your Answer Questions page that will help you track your progress towards new Badges. Category Expert Badges you've earned will appear at the top of that module, as well as on the left of your My Profile page. Once you have earned a Category Expertise Badge, you will be able to apply to provide Phone Support via the banner advertising it on your Answer Questions page. You will need a US phone number to apply. FixYa is currently doing a major overhaul on Phone Support, to introduce some key features our Experts requested. While we're working on these changes, we will not be doing Phone Support interviews or approving new Experts. However, as soon as the changes are complete, hopefully within the month, we will immediately start approving new Experts for the system. once you are logged in click My Expertise and on right-hand side you should see My Status and at bottom of that box is a Search Unsolved Problems box

Hi starwarryr. Click on My FixYa in the upper right corner of any page on FixYa (once you're logged in), then click on My Activity towards the middle of the page. You will see your Live Chat there. Clicking on that will take you to the transcript.

However, since the asker's vote is weighted proportionally higher in the displayed rating, a question that has actually received many Thumbs Ups from other users will have a lower displayed rating if the asker gave it a low vote. Yes, experts are paid to answer questions by customers. Customers only pay if they are satisfied with the solution provided.

Hi ells1231, First, make sure that you are signed into your FixYa account. Click on "My Profile" on the upper right. Click on the "Edit Profile" link under the default avatar. Click on the "My Expertise" link on the left of the page (not the one in the upper right!) Scroll down to where it says "Upload your Profile Picture". There you can upload an avatar. Files must be 50kb or smaller, and either JPG, GIF, or PNG format. When you are done, click "Save Changes" at the bottom. • write the e-mail address in the line.

I assume that you have forgotten your password so click on forgotten my password.

• you write your e- mail adress again
• look in the post and the password is there

• go to sign in again and write your e- mail and the new password and
• you have come to your account

Hi Jeanne, You'd be surprised just how many people you would be helping by answering older questions as well as newer ones. Not everyone has the latest and most up to date products and a lot of people are actually looking/searching for help with older products. In other words, your time and answers are actually helpful! Keep it up and I hope that helps!

Of course FIXYA has no document whatsoever indicating you've won anything. What makes you think that you won something? Did you go an email telling you that you've won something? Bevare of a SCAM
