3 possible reasons:1. Usually the cable of the charger is cut inside (the wire inside the cable).Try to change just the cable.2. The battery is Dead so it cannot be charged. Change battery.3. Inside the charger, the fuse or transformer are dead. Change them one by one and test in the middle.Another brilliant solution is: Buy a cheap Charger that fits your voltage and change the plug so as to bit your tool.

After 3 years you probably can't get any kind of warranty support but you may be able to repair the charger or buy a universal one. www.centurytool.net sells parts for battery chargers....if you know where the drill was purchased, like sears, you may be able to take it there and they can either send it in for repairs or point you in the right directions. Most cordless drill batteries will go bad if they are not charged regularly so you may have to replace them also. Good luck!

Question edited for clarity. Amazon do a 4 way universal, or take the chuck into a local engineering supply company for a key that fits or a new chuck and key. Where does the white wire inside the battery charger go to it came undone and I don't know which prong goes to

Check the battery has charged or the voltage is high enough to accept a charge.

If the battery goes flat, the charger may ignore it and it will never charge.
