hi hold down power button & volume up button at the same time it might reboot..u might have to remove the back & disconnect the battery...good luck

Not quite sure what you need. Have you registered the Kindle yet? You can register by following these instructions

1. From Home, swipe down from the top of the screen and then tap Settings.
2. Tap My Account.

If you have trouble, log on to Amazon.com using your computer not the kindle. Just below the search bar click help, then click device help. One the left column you will see Contact Us. Click that and fill in your info, ask for call back. They are usually quick with the call back and someone can talk you through getting the problem resolved.

maybe a silly answer but i have seen worse...: is the caps lock on? or does your password have special characters ? try typing your password in a textbox somewhere and see it it's correct on screen

On the main screen swipe downward on the screen with your finger and you will see it says WiFi ,touch this and itxwill open up to available connections. If it says open it should connect you. If it show a lock it is acsecure site and will require a password.

I recall a TV show saying that sometimes Kindle's break down and that there is nothing can fix them. Models (it said) seem to have only a limited operational life. You can of course buy a refurbished model, but they are picked from certain models that had specific faults that were fixable, but sent back under warranty. A new model being sent out to the person that returned it. If your Kindle was out of warranty. The Amazon people would be under pressure to encourage you to get a new one, hence the reply. But that is my opinion. I think the company on the whole is very good at customer service. But I doubt it is set up to encourage repairs of out of warranty items.

You may just need to sign back into your Amazon account on your kendle
