The replacement parts for the Back to Basics blenders can only be purchased by Back to Basics. You can call them at 800-668-1989 or go through their website to find replacement parts.

Just go to www.westbend.com, go to the support tab, then replacement parts, and find smoothie makers in their list. Once you have the smoothie maker model list up you just need to find your model.

Try tightening the ring by (unplugged), align and tighten the base ring, rubber touching glass, then the blade plate assembly, then the ring....Then place on the machine, press down and tighten more...

I find that you cannot sometimes get enough tighening by hand, due to the dimention of the ring and the human hand...

It is probably a worn out gasket. The cheapest and best results i have gotten have been going to the manufacturer website and most of them give you the ability to buy replacement parts.

Depending on the year you may not get a replacement for that blade unit. They stopped making them and there are no blades to be had even from the Mending Shed. Mine was an "02 and parts now for the newer models are being made at a different factory and are not appropriate for the older ones,. Mending Shed got their older parts but not blades. West Bend if you balk with give you a 30% coupon toward a new one.
