Sherrywynne3, that model has a sight glass on the side of the motor, when the 4 wheeler is sitting level the oil should be half way up the sight glass. Be sure it is sitting on a level surface. DO NOT overfill.

that looks like a mongoose black comb. I dont know y the brakes would not be working i have a blackcomb my self and i can ride it up or down a creek and still have breaks im not really sure what would cause the brakes to not work google it. id suggest or call the manufacture

it feel like the actuation of you're clutch lever does not disengage you're clutch plate ...i will think that you're clutch actuation arm ( the one the clutch cable get in... is not engage at the right place or the arm is not on the right spline)...spring and plate only is an issue when the clutch is sliping....

I would remove the carb,. Take it apart, and soak the carb including floats in solvent or equivelant for couple hours. Put back together after dry and adjust floats.

first... check to make sure you don't have blown fuse.. using an electrical tester also, pierce the wire going into the units(if testing blinkers.. horn.. etc.. make sure you actually turn the blinker or horn on etc) this will tell you if you're getting power to them.. if no power trace wire back to connectors with the tester, checking connections etc... (you can get the electrical tester for about $5, clips onto battery and has small light that turns on when it's getting current to where you pierce the wires)

more than likely all you need to do is clean the carbs.

i would pull your carbs, clean them and look for wear on your diaphrams and check your floats.

you more than likely need to replace the reserve lighting device.

If it doesn't turn over when you push start, but it does if you wiggle the key back and forth, it's probably the ignition switch. Try to isolate the problem by only doing one thing at a time, such as wiggling the key while it's in the on position, or pushing start several times. It might be the starter motor too, but that seems a less likely possibility if turning the key back and forth fixes it temporarily. The way to make sure would be to jump the ignition switch all together (hotwire it) to see if it always starts then. You should be able to find a wiring diagram to show you how to do this.

No, you cannot just run premix, you still need oil for your gears and lower end of your cams and such!

On what kind of motorcycle. Sounds like maybe you left a key out of one of the gears/shaft
