My c-81 wheel horse was running fine for months. I
It does sound like the coil, but try this before you buy one: Change the spark plug, or substitute a known working plug and test for spark. Clean the terminals between the battery, switch and coil, and those at the coil, then test for spark again. Ensure that you can get power to the coil by testing the wiring for continuity along the same path. If all of the terminals are cleaned, and power can be applied all the way through the switch to the coil without getting fir, then the coil seems likely.
Hope this helps. Usually (and hopefully), cleaning the terminals will do the trick.

It will not start there is no spark. It is a 2001,
I tried to e-mail you before but I had not sighned in by mistake. I had given a solution about oil level; however on seeing the part where is no spark, I suspect it could be a problem with the distributor or magneto if you have no spark. Clean all electrical contacts starting with the battery posts and work you way up to the spark plug(s).

My zts 7500 turns over
This is usually caused by the wire coming off of the coil (smaller one not connected to the spark plug) getting shorted to ground. This wire goes to the ignition switch and when the switch is off, the wire gets grounded. If it gets grounded while running, the coil will not spark. Make sure the wire is not rubbing against any sharp metal edges and disconnect from the ignition switch. If you still don't get spark, then good chance that the coil itself is bad. Before you replace the coil, try another spark plug first, just in case.
When the drive is engaged,
More than likely there is something wrong with the drive belt. Either the drive belt is broken or the clutch is not letting it engage. When you jack it up and one wheel turns one way and the other turns the other way is completely normal. If there was something wrong with the transmission the wheels would not turn at all. So look under the tractor and have someone press the clutch/brake and there should be a pulley that moves. That pulley should have a belt the gets loose when the clutch/brake is pressed. More than likely your problem is going to be with that belt.
After about 30 minutes engine
Typically a surge is caused by a lean condition. I'd say the float is set to low and this is causing the engine to lean out & when you apply the choke it richens it back up.and the surge stops.
How do you adjust the
There is no adjustment on these pulleys. Sounds like the belt was over the blade pulley brake arms or idler pulley guide. They will shred a belt in nothing flat.
I had hit a somewhat
I've only had luck removeing the deck, turn it upside down. Measure blade, mark, remove blade, insert large pipe over spindle, bend in direction. Re-install blade, and do it all over and over till straight. Measure in several locations.
