Set both intake/exhaust valves at .004 with piston 1/4 inch past top-dead-center on compression stroke if this machine has a Briggs in it

bypass rod pulled out to allow pushing the tractor, the noise is the hydrostat bypassing fluid (normal) if my crystal works

boy seen this happen too much with these newer aluminum blocks , head gaskets blow and gets to much pressure in crankcase pushes oil right thru the crankcase vent line into carb , you can try replacing the gasket buts been my experience the heads warp too much so it's a moot effort , I just replace short block now if i see em come thru here like that

New riders have safety switches in various locations that will ground the ignition and prevent spark to the plugs if they are not adjusted and/or working correctly. Locate these first and understand how they work and make certain all are in good order. If they are, you will need to turn your attention to tne solid state ignition system on your engine. On today's engines these ignition modules either work or, do not work and will need to be replaced. In other words, they produce spark if they are good or, don't produce spark if they are defective. There is no sophisticated test.

Doesn't it turn over? If your valves are out adjustment. They don't release compression.

yes it is there is one under the seat & under the dash & there is also one connected to the clutch/ brake peddle which is more than likely the one giving you problems is the clutch/brake peddle switch

There should be no reason why not, Just keep in mind of the bolt pattern and measurements as well as you may have to make a few altercations for cables but if shafts match you should be good to go!
