Speed connect drain will not go down completely
Make sure that the compression nut is not too tight where it could bind up the plunger rod. I'm sure you have probably gotten up under to see if it is hitting anything. Also, make sure that the lift rod is adjusted correctly. I am leaning more towards the unit being bound up some how.

American standard 2k-2h still leaks after replaceing sem and nut
Did you replace or reface the seat (the surface in the bottom of the faucet body where the stem's washer "seats" itself to shut off the flow of water? There are special tools for removing the old seats and installing new ones (available from professional plumbing suppliers), or you may be able to renew the seat's surface with a special tool called a seat surfacer.

How do i remove bathroom sink drain plug?
If by push pull you mean there is a knob and rod that you use to raise and lower the plug. Look under the sink for a rod extending perpendicular to pipe it will be about 8" long and attach to a linking bar below he push pull rod. Typically there is a small retaining nut that seats around a ball seal on this rod that secures it to the tail piece dropping from sink. Unscrew the retaining nut, slide the rod out and then lift out the plug. You will notice a ring on lower end of the plug piece that you will need to insert the rod thru when reassembling. If you are referring to a fixed twist and drop plug Open it and there will be a set screw on a flat face in the stem portion under the cap. It's usually small straight slot screw but may also be a hex head slot Loosen that screw and the plug will lift off a center peg in the drain assembly.

How to fix leaky American Standard single faucet kitchen sink
The A-S single lever kitch faucet is terrible. If it is the one I think it is, then it has three screws that mount the cartridge down into the faucet body.If these are not torqued perfectly evenly, the faucet leaks. I suggest getting a Moen to replace it.

9C-23H/C American Standard: Does the seat for the stem take an o-ring? I replaced the seats but the drip got worse.
There are three things to replacing a washer seat, after you turn the water off, open the valve before you replace it, most people take the stem nut out first, then putting it back over compresses it unless the valve is open.
Check the seat, this is not the rubber washer at the end of the stem. The seat is in the fixture, most can be removed with a special wrench.
Last but not least is the over tightening the valve to stop the water. Water wont stop instantly and it important to remember that. Turn the water of lightly when you are done, wait a moment to see what happens when the residual water drains. Then tighten more if necessary.

How do I get more water pressure from my american standard shower set
Hi Fran:
Most shower faucets now are equipped with flow restrictors. It is possible with some units to remove the flow restrictor plate from the shower nozzle. It has to be dis-assembled to do that.
Regarding the lack of hot water, that would usually be a different problem and will be related to the hot water source.
Hope this helps.

I have a toilet that won't hold water in the
You could have an inadequate or blocked vent which is allowing some other drain flow to **** the water out of the bowl (but you would hear it going glug glug) So, more likely, you have a cracked toilet bowl. If no water is leaking onto the floor it must be cracked in a way that allows the water to leak down the drain (by-passing the trap that is built into the back of the bowl). You will have to replace it. The good news is that replacing the bowl is far easier than fixing the vent problem.
But before you replace it, you can test it. Remove the whole toilet from the floor. Elevate it on some blocks over a bucket. Fill the bowl using another bucket and watch what happens.
