Check the supply line and valve to see if any dirt or foreign.matter got into the line or valve when you changed out your faucet. if this is not the problem you may have a faulty faucet. You may be able to back flush the faucet with a garden hose by leaving the hot side open, but you will get wet. 1 under the sink turn off both water supplies 2 disconnect the supply lines at the on/off valve EZer than at faucet 3 under sink unscrew the retaining nut(s) 4 on top wiggle or pry the faucet and lift up and remove. 5 know you can replace the spout and don't forget the new O ring that's why it leaks anyway. you really just need the new washer O ring . 6 Reinstall check for leaks 7 caulk around faucet. Back to the basics...did you turn the hot water shutoff back on? Is it a multi-turn shutoff or a 1/4-turn one? If it was old, and multi-turn, the washer could be shot, and it is all clogged. Try disconnecting the hose and see if you can get any flow into a bucket from the connection. There could be some crud caught inside of the cartridge, so you might need to remove it and flush it out. No be sure water is off. Take this apart with still being supplied will cause you a lot of trouble, wife will be very unhappy.

take the old one to the store with you they can match it up.. (home depot... lowes)...

most aerators are screwed into the faucet IF you use a pair of multigrips with clothe folded in the jaws , you can apply gentle pressure and turn it out too much pressure and you will distort the aerator so be gentle with it

are you speaking of water hammer ? as typically this occurs when shutting off water , faucets that make noise like a whistle when on could be a part clogged aerator in the end of it , this happens over time and debris is aloud to collect in end of faucet

If I understand your question, it could be as simple as switching the supply lines.

If your handle is loose on the actual stem, then look for a small logo or blue/red "dot" at the base of the handle. Remove that and underneath that there should be a set screw that you can tighten.

You may need to replace the cartridge(s) or rubber washers on the valve stems. Depends on what model faucet you have.
