Power locked viewsonic n1930w
On the tv itself hold down CHANNEL button and hold the MENU button then press the POWER button, You will get into the service menu. from here I went in to the CARNIVAL menus and changed the PW setting then backed out... Power button worked. Then I went back in and played with everything else... but in the end left everything the way it was in the end. I suggest you do the same. Good luck.

Viewsonic N1930W input menu missing
According to this image, the input you are looking for is marked 'G'.
You would then use the Input button on your remote control to select that option. The OSD does not support selection of the input.
VGA hookup to my Toshiba Satellite
Set the TV input to PC (that's ViewSonic's term for the VGA port).
Setting the computer to output to the PC may depend on your OS (XP, Vista). Reboot the computer after connecting the monitor and see if new hardware is found. Reboot again if you have a flickering screen. In Vista, right clicking on the desktop brings up various video and desktop options. Choose Screen Resolution and look for the multiple monitors line. Click Apply and OK after setting your desired output. In the Screen Resolution window you should see two monitor boxes (labeled 1 and 2) if the computer sees the monitor.
If the second monitor is not showing up (no new hardware found), check your BIOS and device drivers to see if you need to enable or update the drivers for the VGA port. Check your manual for the BIOS (often it is click F1 or F2 before the OS loads; it's often tricky timing and I have to try repeatedly). Device manager will have a red x if the port is disabled; the exclamation point (yellow triangle) indicates driver issues.
I realize this is nearly a year after you posted your questions but I hope it will help the next person searching for answers on this TV.

Sounds like your power supply electrolytic caps are going bad.....or you have a small board break in one of the circuit connections that doesnt break until the unit warms up.
First, you can use a can of cold blast to check for that heat break. You need to be able to shoot the cold blast at small areas of the board to see when the unit comes back on..indicating the break was shrunk closed by the coldness of the spray. If the unit fails to come on....you can remove the power supply and replace the caps as a group *(recommended since when one is bad...the others are sure to follow)
Good luck and be careful. These power supplys produce high voltage for the backlight and have `110V AC running into them. Be very sure you are adept at handling live circuits or find someone with electronics skills who will work on the cheap!
I cannot find hdtv channels on my viewsonic n1930w
Are you trying to get the HD signal from the roof antenna or from cable? when you set the tuner to scan for channels make sure it is set for 'CABLE' if you are on cable, or 'AIR' if using roof antenna.
White screen, no picture.
Base from my experience this problem is 75%(BAD LCD) needs to be replaced with new LCD. The rest of 25% is cable connection loose.
