The labtop doesnt boot when the charger is placed in and it also goes of when the charger is put in

Is the AC cord the original? Has it been damaged? Have you tried another AC cord, with the EXACT same power specs? It may be a damaged AC jack. Sometimes a pull or tug on the cord while plugged in will loosen the connection. If you wiggle the cord at the jack plug does it cause the charge LED to blink? Does the computer work on battery?

I have a toshiba a305

Your system is not producing video output after the POST, which means the Windows video is messed up or there is a problem with a component like memory.
Because you can see the Toshiba splash screen, it tells you the LCD screen is fine. At least you know the LCD screen is working. See if you can get into the CMOS setup screen. I think it may be by pressing F2 on startup. If you can get to that, make sure the hardware is correct (like seeing if your hard drive is seen as installed).
You can also try to press F8 on startup and start the computer in safe mode. Very possibly something is trying to start when Windows starts and not completing its startup.

Need to clear the password

To reset the BIOS password read the information from this link.

In case of your Toshiba Satellite laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper and I wouldn't recommend doing it especially if it's under warranty.

I have Toshiba Satellite A305-S6898

You will need the Mass Storage Drive to be able to read memory cards. Go to the Toshiba download center here:
http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp?nav=Download
Search your laptops serial number at Laptops>>Satellite>> and download the mass storage driver.

Toshiba A305 shuts down randomly. Hard drive

More than likely it's from heat. The A305 gets hot quick, especially if your model uses the AMD processor. I would suggest you cleaning the machine out with some compressed air and verifying that you are running the latest bios revision for your model.

I've fixed lots of A305 just by doing the above ;)

Give that a shot, if it doesn't work let me know and I'll suggest more things you could try...but I'm pretty confident heat is causing your issues.

Satellite A305-S6825. Problem with battery

Hi.

Problem is either the power adapter, the battery, or the power board circuit inside the laptop.

Test the laptop with only power adapter and no battery, if the laptop stays on, then the power adapter is good. In that case try replacing the battery.

Here the part: Laptop Battery for Toshiba Satellite A305D-S6835 A305-S6825 A305-S6829

If the power adapter does not work, check the power cord and its attachment, then eventually replace the power adapter.

Here the part: NEW AC Adapter Power Supply Charger+Cord for Toshiba Satellite

Before replacing part reset the laptop by disconnecting power adapter and removing battery for two minutes. Turn off computer and disconnect power adapter before removing the battery.

Regards.

Ginko.
