In order to reset and change the password of Gmail and corresponding Google Account with the affected Gmail email address, follow these steps:
  1. Go to https://mail.google.com/ (related: other Gmail URLs).
  2. Click on I cannot access my account link. change-gmail-password.jpg
  3. Click on radio button of I forgot my password, and then click on password recovery page link (or you can go directly to the link above).
  4. Enter the username for the Gmail or Google Account in the field provided.
  5. Enter the captcha letters as shown in the image on screen.
  6. If you never login to the Gmail for the previous 24 hours, a secret question as set in the Google Account will be presented. Answer the question with a correct answer in order to be able to reset the password. If you're unable to answer your security question and the account has a secondary email address configured, a link will appear at the bottom of the secret question results page. Clicking on the link will has a password reset email message sent to the secondary email mailbox. After receiving the email, follow the link to reset the password.
    If you have login to Gmail in the preceding 24 hours period, the password reset email will be sent immediately instead. Follow the link to reset the password. If you don't have a secondary email address, or if you no longer have access to that account, repeat the steps above after 5 days. At that point, you'll be able to reset your password by answering the security question you provided when you created your account.
  7. If you cannot remember the answer to secret question, cannot answer the secret question correctly and do not receive password reset email in secondary email account, try to contact Google for help.

Change your username If you use Gmail with your Google Account, it's not currently possible to change your Gmail username after you've registered unless you want to delete Gmail from your account and use a different, non-Gmail address for your Google Account. You can also create another Google Account with a different Gmail username.
If you don't use Gmail with your Google Account, you can change your account username to another email address at any time. Your username is the full email address you used to create your account.
To change the email address on your account, just follow these steps:
  1. Visit the Google Accounts homepage.

To use your Gmail e-mail account in Outlook, you must first make sure POP3 support is enabled in Gmail, and then you can add it to Outlook.

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. At the top of any Gmail page, click Settings.
  3. In the Mail Settings window, click Forwarding and POP.
  4. In the POP Download section, select Enable POP or all mail or Enable POP only for mail that arrives from now on.
  5. Click Save Settings.
  6. In Outlook, on the Tools menu, click E-mail Accounts.

  20. On the General tab, under Mail Account, type Gmail.
  21. Click the Outgoing Server tab, and then select the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication check box.
  22. Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
  23. Click the Advanced tab, and then under Server Port Numbers for both Incoming server (POP3) and Outgoing server (SMTP), select the This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) check boxes.
  24. Change the Outgoing server (SMTP) port number to 465. The Incoming server (POP3) port number should change automatically to 995 when you select the This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) check box.
  25. Click OK.
  26. To verify that your account is working, click Test Account Settings. If there is missing or incorrect information, such as your password, you will be prompted to supply or correct it. Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet.

    Normally this error comes when you are sending any mail having some attachment.Sometimes when you send an attachment to somebody by Gmail, it will occur an error named 008, this is caused by the size of your attachment, it must be not larger than 25MB, now I will tell you about how to fix Gmail Error 008.

    Hello,

    It sounds like the internet browser you are using saved his login information. Go to Gmail and when you are inside his account you can log off by going to the top right of Gmail and clicking the profile name. You should get a drop down box. Select "sign out". Once it signs out of his account you should be back at the login screen. You can now enter your login information.

    First try going opening your browser of choice and going to mail.google.com. Ideally the page should load and you should be able to log in there. If your page times out (you get an error instead of the login page) then it's possible that some program on your computer is blocking the connections, or that your router is blocking the connections. Try ending any programs you're not using (including any that might be hiding in the icon tray) one at a time until you can get access to gmail again. If you can't find any that are blocking it, it might be a setting on your router.
