LG WM1814CW Front Load Washer - Page 4 Questions & Answers
How do you clean the pump in lg washer wm0642hw
I recently cleaned mine - the wrong way - so I hope this will help. I went in through the back of the washer and disconnected the pump and cleaned it and put it back, but it was very cramped and small. Then, when I ordered the part from Home Depot - I found a video attached to the part showing the correct way to remove and clean the pump. It showed step by step how to take off the top panel and the front panel and get to the pump without crawling through the back of the machine. Home Depot parts are good, too because you can return them up to one year later. I don't have any connection to Home Depot but they have the best videos. Go to homedepot.com/appliancerepair.com and look around for information on you machine and you should be able to find the link. I will look in my files and see if I kept the information and send in the next post.
No power
When you say "no power", is that an error message, or, lights are off, no one is home?
Mark, tell me you know the breakers are all in the "on" position at your breaker panel.
Bad bearings on front loading lg washer 1832cw
Sorry, but you are not so lucky. LG should not even offer those parts, as it takes special hydraulic presses to install some of that. For anyone but the manufacturer them self you must replace the back half of the outer drum (I believe it is a 3045ER0008C in your case) which contains the installed seal and bearing, plus I'd recommend replacing the spider asm 4434ER0002A, as the shaft may be a bit worn where it contacted the seal and bearing, and you don't really want to go through all that work (at least 2 hours) only to have to do it again. A FixYa rating would be appreciated. Thanks.
LG trom wASHER wm20160W WONT DRAIN
Start by getting to the drain on the pump there should be a hose hooked to the pump and there may be a filter that u can clean out. Check the pipe and make sure it is clear and also check the discharge hose to be sure it is clear as well. By the way do u hear the pump come on or try to. If lines are clear and the pump is running then you most likely have a bad pump,
Ie code comes up washer wont fill up
An 'IE' error code on the display indicates an inlet error, or that the washer was unable to fill with water within a determined amount of time. Before replacing the water valves, check that there is not blockage at the valves. turn off the water, remove the water supply hoses from the valve, and see if there is a build up of sediment, rust, etc on the valve screens. If there is, you can remove the little screens and clean them. If all or any filter screens are ok, replace the valve assembly.
Do I need sensor assembly (#6501KW2002A) on WM1814CW?
The part number you came up with is for the out of balance sensor not the hal sensor. The correct part (if your model number is WM1814CW is 6501KW2001A. It's located behind the rotor on the back side of the stator.
