Why do the batteries on
I would check the weight limit on the chair first ,You should be able to see that in your handbook given with the chair.
Second I would see about load testing those battery's ,Go into a auto parts store ,or battery store if in fact you don't own a load tester. make sure both battery's can take a load if not that may be your problem.
Good luck happy to help.
Battery discharge quickly, I have
Don your charger is probably not charging the batteries. When you charge your chair overnite the charger should have a red and green light showing charge complete. When you first plug it in the lights should be red and yellow. If you are getting a red and green light when you first plug it in then there is a problem with the charger or with the charging circuit to the batteries. You should have a charger port on the battery box try plugging the charger into that port and see if you can get the batteries charged. When you do you should have a red and yellow light on the charger changing to red and green when fully charged. Hope this helps

Batteries don't last
Check the battery connections to the wire ends for corrosion and tightness. Take the wires off the battery and remove any obvious corrosion. Take a knife blade and make the wire end shine and the same for the battery terminals. Reassemble the wires to the battery and tighten.
My battery has discharged.
I took my totally discharged batteries into an auto supply store and they left them on their charger overnight. There was no cost for that service and the batteries came back to life and have lasted an additional 6 months. I just replaced them with 12V 15Ah batteries and am getting much better performance now. The total cost for the new batteries was about $70, including delivery.

I have a pride go chair that is only one year old.
The small batteries (17 Amp hour I believe) are notorious for lasting a year and often much less. I consistently replace the original OEM batteries supplied with this chair at the 6 month point. The manufacturer warrants these sealed gel lead acid batteries for only 6 months. Try the AGM (advanced glass mat ) batteries and you should get better life out of them. They might be more expensive at retail pricing but your insurance should pay for the better batteries in my experience. Make sure the charger replaced under warranty is the correct amperage for these small batteries otherwise the output could burn the battery plates.
Controller light is flashing and chair will not
Sandi Count the number of flashes ie: 4 flashes pause 4 flashes pause etc. This will give you the flash error code and your users manual should tell you what the number of flashes indicate. (for example 3 flashes bad brake) Also check to make sure your scooter is not in freewheel. Turn off the scooter and move the freewheel lever in and out of gear a few times then turn the scooter on and see if you still get the flashes. If you can't figure out what is wrong then contact your provider and ask if they can check it out for you. Hope this Helps

Did you purchase the chair or Medicare? This chair has small batteries that need tender loving care If you do not use it often you need to charge the chair at least once a week and always put it up fully charged. Once the batteries get weak then no chair charger will pick them up. Check with a local battery warehouse or similar supply store for 2 12/12 batteries. Hope this helps
I need a used/remanufactured 50 Amp VSI Controller
Search ebay, you'll find them new and used, and make sure that the connection into the chair matches up with your chair...most will send you a picture of it, and also make sure that the controller is programmed for RWD (Rear Wheel Drive), or you will also need to get a PP1 programmer to reset it for your chair. If it came off of any RWD chair and the connections are the same, it will work on your GO-GO.
