Circuit fuse

There is a meter on the back panel that indicates the rate of charge and it has an in-line fuse connected to one of the terminals inside. Remove the main cover and seat and look for a black boot and 2 wires. One wire will go to the meter and the other to the charger harness. Pop off the boot and inspect the fuse. If it is burnt open replace it with a same ampere rating fuse of the same color. Check the AC charger cord and all connections to make sure they are tight. Check all the plugs under the main cover and make sure they are plugged in and tight. Hope this helps.

The battery charger is not working.

I too had a problem with my chair not charging. I found out that my on board charger is bad. It's very costly to replace. However, I found a work around. I bought a off board charger from amazon for 13.94. It's listed as: 24V 2A Scooter battery Charger with XLR connector. It plugs in under the joystick. It solved my problem. Good luck.Brian

2005 jet 3 ultra power chair

One thing you can do, it is reading between the lines of the manual. http://www.pridemobility.com/pdf/Owners_Manuals/US_Jazzy/US_Jet_3_ultra_om.pdfPut the chair in drive mode, shut it down. Then disconnect the batteries, depending how it is wired, either one or both of the negative terminals should be disconnected. Keep the joystick and other items plugged in. Let it sit for a moment. Then reattach the battery terminals. And see if that corrects it. If it does not, the company would have to send a tech out to calibrate the joystick again. I am sure it would be something of a liability issue if they put that information freely into their manuals.

vb any battery distributor or Interstate battery outlet should have the batteries you need you will need 2 U1 batteries and they will run 175.00 to 215.00 for 2. Do not buy auto batteries and the batteries need to be sealed deep cycle batteries. Do not get at Wal Mart or any other store that wants to sell you unsealed auto batteries Hope this helps you

My speed indicator lights are constintly flashing-

You don't say what sort of chair you have, but if it has tilt or power seating system, the speed lights flashing could be a power-limiting warning, which means you have the seat tilted or raised too high for full power so it is limited to going slow. Lower seat and then try to drive it an normal speed. If the seat isn't tilted or raised and lights are flashing, then the switch on the chair that senses the height or the tile is probably faulty and would require replacement. Do NOT disable or bypass the switch as it is a safety device to prevent unsafe operation.

Did Medicare pay for Mom's chair? If they did then they will pay for 80% the repair to the chair. You can contact Repair Express @ 1-877-581-3733 or Roadrunner Mobility @ 1-800-467-2668 they are both excellent repair companies and will schedule a tech to pick up mom's chair leave a loaner and fix the chair for her. Now if Mom bought her chair then she will have to pay for the batteries and all other repairs needed (lets hope not). The chair needs 2 U1 sealed batteries and they can be purchased through the provider where she got the chair or at any good battery outlet like Interstate Battery. I would avoid Internet stores because of the shipping costs. Do not get them from Wal Mart or any other chain store because they do not sell sealed deep cycle batteries required for your chair. The batteries will cost you around $200.00 for both. The provider will probably charge you more. You have to unplug the joystick cable, remove the seat from the base and take the shroud off the base and there you will see the 2 batteries. Remove the wiring harness and remove the batteries reinstall the new batteries wiring them like the old ones, replace the shroud and the seat hook up the joystick cable push the on/off switch and pray that it comes on (lol). The old batteries can be recycled through any battery dealer in your area Hope this helps. If you have any questions you can reach me @ [email protected]
