Without knowing more about your trimmer, the most common problem with two cycle engines is the carburator. If carb sits to long with fuel in them, as would be the case when storing for the winter, the fuel can break down gumming up the inner workings of the carb. There are rebuild kits out there, but if this is your problem, I suggest purchasing an new carb. The price of new carb is only a small amount more than trying to rebuilding the old carb.

In your manual under section 12: Line Head Installation. You will do the opposite of what it says here. The key is to LOCK the gear drive so the flex-drive shaft won't turn WHEN you are removing the trimmer head. They use a special tool (maybe you have it). But a small-shafted Phillips screwdriver or the like can be put in the drive hole to lock the gearing up as well. Look for the hole in the upper plate and align with the notch in the drive housing and grasping the entire string head unit, remove it. Here is your manual, see Section 12
