In the event that the scale battery needs to be replaced, (display shows "Lo"), open the battery cover on the bottom of the scale and replace the old battery with a new 3V lithium battery.

Sorry but I got fed up trying to find a manual for my WW Bathroom Scales WW-8976U and have now purchased a new set of scales.

Lithium batteries should last about 3-5 years. That really depends on the amount of use, the way the unit is stored and even things like temperatures. If you replace the battery you need to make sure that the battery is fresh and not old stock. Thats another thing that will cause premature battery death is old stale batteries. Unfortunately the original batteries tend to fall into two types, better than you can find or a lot worse. If you are using the scale a lot ie several people using it then the batteries will also drop off pretty quick. Even in heavy commercial use the batteries should be good for well over a year.

You're only suppose to weigh yourself once a week. Make sure you're doing it after you've gone to the bathroom in the morning and with no clothes on. Other than that, I'd make sure the floor you set the scale on is level and that you are holding very still while weighing.

You might wanna double check that your scale is set to the right measurement. On the bottom of the scale is a switch that allows you to choose between Kg (kilograms) or LB (pounds).

I got it! Press "set". You should see "start goal" in the bottom right. Press the user # you want to save as and press "set" again. The display will blink then display "0.0". Step on the scale to get your current weight. Once it's read you current weight, press "set". A goal weight will display. Press "User 1" to make your goal weight go up and "User 2" to make it go down. Press "set" when the display shows your goal weight. That's it. Now all you have to do is press your user # and wait for "0.0" to display before stepping on the scale.

The settings 1-10 are for wet and easy-to straighten hair. Like hair that is a little thinner or almost straight.
The settings 11-17 are for damp hair that is about average thickness.
The settings 18-23 are for hair that is thick or wavy.
Lastly, the settings 24-30 are for dry hair that is harder to straighten.

So, the higher up you go, the higher the difficulty the hair is.

Question edited for clarity. This TH207 seems to be an unknown model. They all have a battery compartment apart from one exception. There is a Taylor Scale that supposedly has a lifetime battery, and is non replaceable. More model scales just have a small round disc with a screw and take a small CR2032 button battery.
