I'm not sure about your year or generation mower. Does your Weedeater have a plastic Carb? If so, is it a one or two piece. You can clean them with gasoline or a cleaner called Deep Creep (From Sea Foam). A sonic jewelry cleaner does a fantastic job loosening up debris. Fill with some Simple Green or purple Magic and dilute with water. Anything harsh like CARB or BRAKE cleaner will mess up the Carb. If it is worn out then buy a new one for $25.

3 most common possibilities: Most gas mower carburetors have a tiny hole for the fuel to rise into the vacuum venturi throat of the intake. The hole in this riser tube which goes down the center of your float chamber to the area where the fuel sits in the bowl is only about as big as dental floss. Take the tine of a wire brush to clear it of crystallized or varnished gasoline and oxidized pot metal tube crust. When they make stainless carburetors, it will eliminate half of the heart attacks caused by this problem. Additives and condensation that settle out in old gas also can lead to clogging. Another very common problem is shearing the aluminum alignment pin in the top of the crankshaft when the mower whacks a log, root or rock. The inertia splits the alignment pin in half and throws spark timing off. So it backfires or won't run. Also check your spark by grounding the fat end of the sparkplug with a jumper cable to the engine casing, leave it plugged to the wire and pull the cord to see if it is firing. Keep spark away from fuel. Ignition points in some small engines get crusty when sitting in humid conditions. So they have to be filed clean of oxidation for proper contact and sparkplug operation. Small engines like rich mixtures and starting fluid when they are cold.

You will need to rebuild the carb sounds like the float is sticking and allowing the gas to keep flowing. The needle vale is probably sticking. Check around the carb first to be sure it not coming from the line that feeds the carb before taking it off.

Pull the wire off the spark plug and then take a 3/4 inch spark plug wrench and loosen the plug and remove it. Be sure to check the gap on the plug before putting it in, they sometimes get hit when being handle so never put one in without checking the gap first.

Assuming it is a B+S engine, if it starts fine and runs rough and smokey as it gets warm and will not get enough speed, the problem is with the Diaphragm between the carb and fuel tank, it costs about £3 and is easy to fit if you have a 10mm and 13mm spanners and a cross heded screwdriver, ver annoying but relatively cheap and simple fix. Max.

It may not have one. Some newer models you can only suck the oil or tip the mower after removing gas on its' side.

There should be 2 marks on the crankshaft and one on the cam. align these up and slowly tap the crankcase cover on. Slowly move the cover and be sure to align where the camshaft goes into the crank cover. Start one bolt then do the rest. Do not over tighten.

You still have trash in the carburetor blocking or partially blocking. You are going to have to get some spray carb cleaner and be very thorogh about cleaning it, every hole, every passage, every thing. While you are at it if you have not recently changed the diaphram, go ahead and do that since you have it apart. The diapham is not expensive.

sounds like it is overfilled with oil remove oil fill to level line for motor but white smoke means its getting to much gas or is this two cycle engine wich would mean you mixed oil and gas wrong and to make another batch

Ensure that you refill it with new fresh fuel not the fuel that was left inside it as fuel does has a limited life.
