Most likely that you have water in the gas or dirt in the carburetor. Drop the carburetor bowl (with the fuel line pinched off) See if there is water or dirt in there. Clean it out using carburetor cleaner and a blow gun and try again.
My Toro GTS walk behind
Hello, I think i can help you.
It appears you have a clogged or partially clogged carburetor". What you can do is tip the mower on it's left
side, remove the air filter and just spray carb cleaner into the
carburetor without removing the carb. It is common for a blade
of grass to get in there and clog it. The pressure from the carb spray
will usually dislodge a blade of grass. Try not to remove air cleaner assembly unless necessary. They can warp
easily and once you remove them, they rarely go back on cleanly ie
without leaking, and you'll need to replace it. Also, if it's not too
dirty, just adding Sea foam to your fuel can be very effective. For the
$10 cost of a can of carb cleaner and a can of Sea foam, this worked for
me. ANother area to check, and cheap to replace, is the spark plug. I automatically ever year, replace spark plug, change oil, put new air filter in ( which you did already) and always make sure you put fresh gas in. Another note; Sometimes it will get a vapor lock where the fuel cap is, loosen some pull a couple times and then tighten down. If your toro has fuel filter , positively replace that.
Conclusion, I believe your problem lies in the carb needs to be cleaned and make sure fuel filter is replaced if this unit has one. Please let me know if this helps, if not we will go from there. Thanks Mike, from Fixya.

Left front wheel keeps falling
I have a 22" Toro Recycler Lawn Mower with front wheel drive. After many years the original tires wore out, primarily the left front. After I replaced the wheels the front wheels kept falling off. I learned that Toro uses an unusual two layer washer on the front wheels. You need a) either an exact replacement for this washer OR b) two separate washers. The hole of the washer is 3/8" Everbilt has the smaller flat washer PN 637-009 and the larger washer can be found in the Everbilt PN 281-293. The SMALLER washer must be placed closer to the frame, the larger washer is closer to the wheel. Once this was done it ran perfectly. Later I found pieces of the original washers in the grass. Toro had the replacement washer available on their website, I was just in a hurry to get the mower back up and running. The Everbilt washers were purchased at Home Depot.

Odds are the battery needs replaced. If it is a 12V battery, you could try jump starting to test the starter to verify. If it is a 6V battery you will have to find another one to jump. You could check the battery with a multimeter to check voltage if you have one or know of someone who does. Make sure you know how to do this properly so as not to destroy the meter. The meters can be cheap or expensive, depends on the model and the features, but always bad idea to let out the magic smoke.
I hope this helps.
I put too much oil
If you already changed oil and it is at proper level on dip stick let it run for about 5 minutes to burn out any excess oil in cylinder, if it continues to smoke you probably blew a gasket or seal on engine. If that is the case you are looking at buying a new mower unless if it under warranty or you have a cheap mechanic.
I have a Toro Self
You need to obtain the model number off the engine and go to a website that has small engine parts, and likely schematics. Enter the model number and find your engine and when you get a list of illustrated parts drawing select the one for the starter or recoil strarter or some such listing. This will give you an exploded view illustrated parts drawing and you need to find the broken parts. Take the number that identifies it on the drawing and look to the associated table. This will give you a part number and allow you to order it.
I hope this helps.

More than likely, you have broken the belt that drives the Self-propelled action. Simply replace with a new belt and you'll be back in business.

I have a Toro Lawn
I could not find a listing for the full engine model number, but there are a lot of engines that start with LV148EA. The good news is that I glanced at the part number for the carburetor on about a half dozen of these engines and they all use the same carburetor. Assuming that you have the same carburetor on yours that the others have, I was able to pull up an illustrated parts drawing for the carburetor. By studying this drawing and a TecumsehPower carburetor manual I was able to determine that you should have a Series 11.
I have been doing some research on your problem, before you mess with any adjustments you should check a few of other things first. One is to check that the bowl gasket is not bad. Two is to check that the fuel pickup is not restricted. Three is to check that the idle port is not restricted. The first one requires just taking the bowl off to look at. The others require removing the carburetor to inspect and clean.
If none of those remedies corrects the problem, then it should be time to adjust the screws.
I hope this helps.

You need to see if you are getting spark at the plug.
Blue spark is good
White spark, not so good
NO spark, not good. This would mean that the Ignition Coil is bad.
Let me know if you need more help.

Toro push mower with B
There is trash in your carburetor blocking the main jet. You are going to have to remove the carburetor and give the carburetor a thorough cleaning. Watch out for the spray carb cleaner, wear safety glasses or a face shield as when cleaning out the carb the passages can redirect back at your face.
I hope this gets you going again.
Does toro lawnmower need oil/gas
It depends, Toro made 2 cycle and 4 cycle Mowers......Look and see if there is a oil dipstick,If so it is a 4cycle , If no dipstick or plug at crankcase to check oil then it's a 2 cycle
Our Toro, guaranteed to start,
I have the same problem. One time this happened and it restarted after a few hours and worked fine for 5 more cuts over a couple of months time. Now again it quit mid cut of my yard and would not restart. When trying to start it would fire for a few seconds and than shut off again. I wated a week to try it again and now it does nto fire at all. This is about a year old mower with only about 10-15 hours of total use.
