Question moved from Cars and Trucks to one of the Lawn Tractor categories. That has all the indications of a battery that has reduced voltage and no cold cranking amps. There is just enough power to light the LEDS and make the relay click. Remove the battery and charge it up. Clean the terminals and connectors with a wire brush and smear them with Vaseline. I would take the bowl off the bottom of the carb.. Probably you have clogged up holes that let the gas into the bowl.Or either the needle is stuck up not allowing the gas to flow...That's why pouring gas in carbs would let it run for s few seconds....Also try fresh gas..Gas doesn't have led in it anymore..It don't last year from year...After grass season is over..Buy some from Lowe's or home depot..Pour it into your tank and let the motor run to get it done into the carburetor...Then the next year it will start

If you had included model no. I could have been more help but you probably will have to replace drive plate and or more in transmission. If you go to searspartsdirect.com and in model number type in, hopefully you will get parts breakdown of the transmission showing parts.

go to sears parts .com and look up your model and the will give you a parts list and you can check if you have the right part they also have on line and phone help on any of their modfels.

Is the mower blades engaged if so check spindels if not check the transmisson but check all pulleys first

Did you check the battery ?

Then its probably not the switch. No idea which mower you're talking about but most of them have several cut off switches. If the one under the seat is not working (ie it thinks there's no one sitting on it) then when you let the brake off it will shut off the engine. The same goes for the blade engagement switch. If you're lucky the same switch will be used everywhere so you can use your new switch to check each one in turn. Good luck.

probably the starter is spinning but not engaging the fly heel, this hapens when the mechignizem that pushes the gears up to the flywheel gose out, can be fixed with a new starter.

RRRRRRRRR you going to get a nother transmission because you need one or have that one worked on

fist of all you need to know what you are doing when dealing with gas issues not worth playing with gas if you are not famliar with gas equipment play it safe and take it to a dealer or repair shop

it sounds like a fuel problem, could be dirt floating about in the carb

you either have a broken or missing spring that retracts the engage pulley or there is dirt or debris under the arm on top of the deck that the pulley is attached to.
