Oil type for air compressor

You can go to any Home Depot and buy compressor oil for your compressor. Your operators manual should tell you what the level should be, however if you don't have one, filling it with oil until it fills the glass tube about half way should be sufficient.

If it's an oil-less, none. If it's a regular compressor, use compressor oil.

My compressor will not hold pressure

Hey, David,The first thing I'd look at is the check valve. That's the last fitting in the air line going into the tank. Brass. Take it out and take it apart. You should find a little stopper attached to a spring. Make sure the stopper is directly on top of the hole. reassemble and try. If no joy, probably the pressure valve. Good luck!-Chuck

I need a capacitor for my air compressor its a

No need to buy exact part. Search Ebay for "motor run capacitor" in the 60 to 70 uf/ mfd range with voltage of 220 or higher(higher voltage equals better quality but usually larger). These are usually metal or light color plastic (black plastic caps are motor start). You will need to be creative in placing the cap because it will probably not fit where the old one was. Good luck

I need a huizhong cbb60 120uf capcitor for clark

You can use any brand motor run capacitor for this application (metal can). Mfd rating should be within plus or minus 5 percent of what you need (about 110 to 125uf). You can also use two 60 mfd motor run capacitors. Voltage rating should the same or higher ( higher voltage rating, better quality). Capacitors fail when there are too many start cycles per hour and or low power to comperssor. Generators also tend to shorten the life of caps due to low power at start and variance of cycles. Good luck with your repair.

Broken reed valve , need

These parts are easy to make. For reed valve, use feeler gauge material or old feeler gauge. This material is easy to cut or grind to size. Gaskets are a bit tricky but material is very cheap and with a little practice, you can make good replacement. If the old gasket was paper, use automotive gasket material sold at all autoparts stores. It is easier to cut thin gasket material so buy thinner than needed and layer. If the gasket is metal, use shim stock or beer / soda can). Good luck with your repair.

Where do I get a cylinder head for a clarke champ

This company in liquidation in the US, however many of the same compressors are available in the UK re-branded with different model numbers/names (alpha name instead). Go down the list opening manuals until you find similar looking parts. You may find same pump/motor components on a different tank, however use manual information as needed. China made compressor as yours will be sold by many different retailers under different names. Look on ebay first "searching pancake" compressor for likeness. The manuals listed below should clue you in. Good luck.

Compressor does not shutoff

Hi leroy badger...

Here are a few things to check, you may have already checked some of these.

Electricity...Compressors will run best with full 115Vot 15AMP/Or 220V electrical supply from a circuit, over the shortest electrical cord as possible.

Air Leaks..Place your ear close to the compressor and listen for air leaking, if you hear air that is not normal and means you have to locate and repair whatever it is that is leaking.
Check the air unloader valve... The air unloader valve will blown out air when you turned off the compressor, that is normal.
But it should not have air leaking out of it all of the time. If so then it is faulty and in need of repair/replacement.

Valves...If either the intake or exaust valves fail, breaks, or fails to seat, then your compressor will run 24 hours a day and never build up to the correct pressure for shut-off.

Gaskets...Check to see if your gaskets have failed.
You could have a gasket failure between the pistons and you will never know it because it shows no external air leak.
If this situation happens then the air will only cycle between cylinders and never build up the correct air pressure.
One way to check the gasket is remove the air filter, then put your hand over the intake.
If correct then it will **** you hand against the intake.
If the valve or valves have failed then you will feel the air sucking in and blowing out.

Piston Rings and Cylinder...The piston rings could be stuck, broken, or worn and not allowing the correct pressure to build up in your tank.
A worn cylinder will also contribute to the problem of pressure build-up.

Pressure Switch...Check for air leaks at the pressure switch, it has a rubber diaphram that can fail and leak air out of the system.
Please take time to rate me
