Hi, Assuming you have tested with another adaptor then invariably it is a broken solder joint on the power input connector. Re soldering will work but eventually the same thing occurs. Set the connector in epoxy resin (Araldite) or better still mount a new connector in the case and wire with flying leads. All the best, Chris the Fader.

Hi, There are two contacts for each key. one makes contact before the other, the time between the two determines the time the key takes to be depressed, hence the touch. Usually the contacts need cleaning, but in this case as itis 8 notes it may be the common keyboard scanning matrix. The matrix is 8 x ..up to whatever so check the line/column connection, or the associated diode. Usually this is an easy fix, just time consuming taking the instrument to bits. When I turn on my keyboard it shows "03.2" on the multifunction display and the lights of "Split", "Digital effect" and "Touch response" remain "ON" and in someway it get blocked for the most of the functions. There probably is NOT a fuse and usual cause is problem with the adapter or the power connectors. Broken solder of the connector in the keyboard is common. Broken cords on the adapter is common as well.

When wiring around circuit board cracks, one must use adequate sized wires and keep the leads short. Also you MAY have a microscopic crack in yet another conductor that flexes when you play the keyboard and freezes it. Use a high intensity LED light from the topside to "candle" the board and look for cracks. Look for cracking of the board material that may have tiny cracks in the circuit traces.

Likely a problem with the power connector or the power adapter. Make sure you are using the original power adapter as often replacements don't work and universal adapters seldom work.

You can play back standard MIDI files from the SD card slot, or load them into memory via USB. However, it is not possible to add new tones or rhythms.

you would need to hook it up to a pc/mac and via midi and record!

Casio Chord is internal to the keyboard and doesn't come out on MIDI. Transpose is similar and while the button may send a MIDI transpose type signal out, the notes will not transpose in your computer...
