Peg Perego Cub Cadet Tractor W/Trailer wont charge or turn on !
first of all check for at least 12 volts from the battery and the charger, you can test this using a multimeter, if the battery doesn't show any volts, lift up one side of the blue plastic housing on the top and verify that both the positive and negative wires are plugged in

Hi michael_c23,
I see that the High gear does not respond when you shift to use it as you mentioned but the low gear works fine as you said right.
is there anything else I should know? like do you hear anything making a sound is the shift making some kind of noise when you shift to high gear is it like trying to use the high gear but it won't snap on to it and just shifts back to the low gear?
Regarding this kind of situation this can be a possible Vacuum Leak, check the Vacuum Lines for any leaks.
Check the PTO connections, see if there are broken wirings that need to be replaced or repaired.
The PTO switch is located on the lower/right side the dash panel. Pull the knob outward to engage the PTO clutch. Push the knob inward to disengage the PTO clutch.
• Move throttle control lever to approximately the mid throttle position.
• Pull the PTO switch to the "RUN"

• Advance the throttle lever to the

I have a 1862 cub cadet It steers Ok then I lose
Hi, because of how your steering is designed, I would say the problem is in the steering box. The system is fully hydraulic rather than hydraulic assist. There is a slotted shaft that actuates the hydraulic valves thru a series of colinear gears and passages, and a bit of wear in those gears may prevent proper operation. The gears are held together by the box, which is held by 4 bolts. Please check those bolts to make sure they are tight. If they are tight, you may want to take the box apart to see what is worn out. Please let me know if you have questions, and thanks for using Fixya.

If you can get to enough of the wire to solder it or bu++ connect it back together you will not have to replace to clutch. It just depends on how much of the old wire you can get to. You may have to pull the clutch to see if you can make a good connection. Hope this helps Fixya up.
Hello, I purchased this Peg Perego Cub Cadet
yes, very common. probably the thermal breaker under the shifter. you can replace it with a 40 amp fuse or bypass it. dont worry its safe to bypass b/c there is a 30 amp fuse on the battery also.
good luck!
