Goldstar KG6000R Window Air Conditioner Questions & Answers
Fan putting out water
Make sure the drain holes in the bottom are clear, clogged drain holes will cause the pan to fill and condensation to be picked up by the fan.
Why fan spill water from ac
If its the outside fan, it's supposed to. It picks up condensation from the humidity in the air and expels it out through the condenser colis.
My airconditioner shows FL why.
Take the unit out of the shell and take it outside and wash it with a hose especially the outside condenser coil and the inside evap coil,
My window air conditioner is
No condensation means no freon flow in condensor which sounds like bad compressor which would account for the noise. Replacement would probably be most economical way to remedy.

Sounds like you're using it when the outside temp is cooler than the inside temp. when this happens, frost will build up on the condensor. Turn the unit off until the ice melts off with a shim under the unit tilting it back towards the outside of the window to drain. If it continues to drip after melting all the ice off and letting it dry out, you have a small leak in the condensor, (unit must be old or worn out) that the freon pressure has leaked out causing it to condensate more. A good checklist would be to check the level of the unit, make sure the coils are clean and not bent, the age of the unit and for small areas of corrosion or white marks on the condensor before replacing it.
Unit is not cooling as
Whatever you do, do not take the watre hose to it. If you do, more than likely you'll be on here again, like many before you, wanting to know why it trips a circuit breaker when you turn it ON. If you really want to take the effort to really clean the interior, remove the chassis from the outer cabinet shell. Be careful if you do, as there can be sharp metal inside that could cut you. But, at least you will have access to clean everything without using a water hose.
Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.
How do I stop my
Cleaning the air intake filter and the cooling coils will help. But, as long as there is high humidity outside, the unit will continue to mist to some degree.

Unfortunately, the KG600R has been discontinued and there is little information available on it, other than "High Efficiency". No official Energy Star Rating was noted.
I hope this was of help to you. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Hello, yes the unit can be recharged but you need to install a piercing valve on tje low side of the system to charge in the refrigerant here is a link to where you can buy piercing valves. http://www.globalindustrial.com/g/hvac/parts/ac_accessories/Supco-Acces-Valves
Where is the drain hole
Hello, make sure the unit is tilted toward the outside a bit, if it is level the condensate will collect in the front and start dripping inside the house. Also, if the unit has a drain make sure it is clean so the water can drain out properly.
