Black flakes coming out

Likely the liner of the duct. Possibly a poor seem that is peeling up, possibly a rodent has gotten inside and chewed up some of the pieces. Either way, yes, more money. Possibly needs a duct cleaning, maybe some new duct, tough one. Best Wishes!! If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/thomas_092728000e6acb79

Mit.hp model MUH24WN Unit was working fine shut

Compressor is likely shorted to ground. With a multimeter you could ohm the compressor to verify. With power off remove wires at compressor. Test each leg to ground or metal or a piece of copper. Continuity would confirm a grounded compressor. Warranty, age and cost would determine next step. If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/thomas_092728000e6acb79

Operating indicator light is flashing on Mr.Slim A/C

I had the same problem and I found it was that another unit had the heat running while I was trying to run AC on another (they're both attached to the same condenser) so it could only run heat or AC not both. Turn off the heat!

Mr slim Mitsubishi - how much fill

On the data plate for the outdoor unit it will tell you what type and how much refrigerant you need. If the line set is longer than 25 feet you will likely need a bit more than what it says. A 40 degrees evaporator temperature is ideal, approximately 65 psi for r22 If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/thomas_092728000e6acb79

Mold and mildew buildup in indoor coil

Try cleaning it and spray with an antibacterial spray. When the unit is running in cool mode it condensates and creates a moist environment inside the ac perfect for mold growth, some units have a coil dry mode which runs the fan to dry out the system after use.

Blinking light

the light blinking is an error code. you can count the number of blinks from a brief pause. it would continue to blink the same number of blinks after a brief pause. count this blinks and you can help the incompetent person that installed your unit to diagnosed the unit from the error codes that you will give him.

if you unplug the unit, it will reset and run again. after a few minutes, the sensor would sense the trouble and turn off the unit and display this code again as a blinking light.

tnx for using fixya.

The air conditoner will not turn on the remote works but the unit itself wont go on is there a fuse in it

The newer air conditioners have a button on the actual plug. It is a reset breaker switch. Try pushing the button on the plug while it is plugged in. (Assuming it has one)

Mr slim ac shuts down and restarts to frequently.

Changing the setting won't affect the way the unit works, only how long it runs for. Rapid switching off and on will kill your compressor in time - check the refrigerant level. Usually short cycling on lp switch.
