HP OfficeJet Pro K8600 Printer Questions & Answers
Printer failure officejet pro 8600 there is a problem with the printer or ink system
I would like to share my solution to the problem. usually a bad ink cartridge. Take out one cartridge at a time and see which one it is you pulled out after which the message disappeared. Most times a remanufactured or refilled ink will cause that, but sometimes a genuine HP cartridge can trigger the message. Check out the video for better explanation. I hope!
HP Officejet Pro 8600 vertical lines on all copies
I had the same problem; it happened with the first copy I tried to make directly from the printer's console - but only with the Black ink function - with the same original on the flatbed glass I then tried the Color function and it worked fine. But when I tried the Black copy function, the strong vertical lines appeared again - about 7, evenly spaced across the page and running the entire length of the page.
Nothing about cleaning any part made sense: the printer was brand new, out of the box, the color ink function worked fine to copy; so did making scan copies. It was only the black ink mode in the copy function with the original on the flatbed glass that produced the vertical lines.
What cleared it up was shutting it down, removing and re-inserting the power cord the other way, i.e., turning it around (which might have nothing to do with the outcome) and Voila! - no vertical lines with the black ink copy function - Go figure...
HP Officejet Pro K8600 won't print in color, just in black
Ink levels are an estimate. They are approximated according to how much color might have been used. You may be out of all the color inks, they may be dried out or clogged. There should be a head cleaning operation for the printer, but it uses ink too.
How do I make new cartridge print?
remove the cartridge and check that you have removed the tape across the print head
insert and press black button on the printer or next on the printer screen it should go to print test page which you then have to photo copy back into the printer so that it can realign the printer head .
