A common cause is a defective remote. Sometimes the conductive coating on the bottom of the rubber buttons inside the remote wear out, or the electronics of the remote fail. Most manufactures consider the remote to be non servicable. You can call their support to see if they will sell spare parts. The remote consists mostly of a circuit board and the rubber button pad. If you could have parts, depending on the particular design you may need a proper soldering iron system to remove the old board and change it. Normally, the remotes are sold complete as a spare part. I suggest getting the original remote. The universal remotes, unless very high end will not do all the functions of the original. Just to mention, I was told most cell phones that have an IR port can work as a TV remote if the software can be obtained to do so. Someone was telling me the later models of the iPhone can do remote control functions for many of the TV sets. There is supposed to be an app for that. I never personally verified this...Jerry G.
The power light is flicking between red and green with no connection
I don't know the model in particular. I can give a generic type answer:A common cause is a failure on one of the circuit boards, or the power supply itself. The error you are seeing, for most sets is "protect mode". The service tech would substitute the boards to find the defective board, in order of where he knows the most frequency of failure. Jerry G.
Won't turn on screen until it warms up
i had this problem with my samsung a while back same symtoms everything and after hectic research i replaced a few blown(swollen) capasitors on the power supply and bam! it worked? its worth a try hope it helps
The av2 input doesnt work
Look for any loose contacts in RC jacks/sockets/Cable. Connect another input on that input of the TV and check. Connect your ps3 to some other TV and check.
LDVD32 - no sound
Some settings have got changed. Please look through the settings and correct it. Check whether any of the connectors are broken and stuck inside the inputs.
Crackle Then Stop
Check the firmware on the tv. I would imagine youre connected with hdmi, and some tv's (lg, vizio mainly) have had firmware issues. check teh lg website for updates.

check the simple things first:Speakers in the set are not switched OFF.If using a box for signal sound is not turned down there--also unplug such a box and or the TV and plug back--will allow the unit to try to reboot.Look to see if have sound when a DVD etc is connected to rear inputs on the set.Let me know what you find or if have questions.
Tv turns off and on -when changing to one channel
It is possible a comunication trouble between the TV and other device.
Please describe what devices do you have connected to the TV and cables using.
If you are using HDMI cable, you can not use another cable to connect the device to the Tv at the same time.
Input keeps switching n it own
Keyboard issues and answers:A problem that is more common than most people think is anissue with buttons on the controlkeyboards of modern TV sets.Recently for whatever reason I have seen more questionsabout this so I have composed this answer and solution for these kinds ofproblems. It can be any button on the set-channel up/down or volume updown-you name it.The symptoms are the same: channel will scan up or down andwill not stop-remote control has no effect on this---It can be channel, volume,or even input or menu if the set has those up front or on the side of the set.All these push controls have something in common-beneatheach is a tiny momentary push switch-when pushed with the plastic button itperforms a specific task (vol up or down etc.).What happens is the afflicted switch beneath the plasticbutton is bad-when released it is supposed to stop its function but does not.Keyboard or button controlled features have PRIORITY over the remote control, hence the remote will not stop this fromhappening. Both the remote and thekeyboard go to the microprocessor in the set but keyboard is first in line. How to resolve this issue?Someone needs to get at the tiny pc board with the buttonsand locate the one associated with the issue (ie sound or channel etc) andunsolder that switch from the board-usually just two pins (may be more formounting only purposes) and then see if set does not have the issue with switchout of the circuit. For the TECH minded with the board out test here theswitches with a ohm meter set to high resistance-any reading with button notpressed means a bad switch-seen ones that read 5,000 plus ohms-it may benecessary to unsolder more than one switch to locate the offender here but an open reading with switch not pressed is therule.I have taken the time to compose this answer as some do notunderstand what is happening in these types of situations---No magic wand orsmoke and mirrors here-have to disable the offending switch to know. The beauty (in my view) of this kind of problem is if found, you really do not have to replace anypart-just operate the set with the remote with one button that no longerfunctions on the set itself-who could ask for more? How to do a firmware update
Contact LG and unless absolutely needed do not upgrade just to upgrade--seen a lot of sets where it makes matters much worse.LG should know if upgrades are available and what the reasons for them are.....
I bought brand new lg in canada i can only see black and white in malta is there anything i can do
The set from Canada is like those from the USA(I am currently in southern Alberta but live in USA).Canada and America both use the NTSC system for sets---I suspect where you are now (aside from possible voltage differences) the system is PAL or even SECAM.What you need to look into getting is a unit that will take the PAL/SEACAM and convert it to NTSC.Seen this before from someone in the down under who had same issue.See if a converter is available to do this. (Note that Pal will usually come out black and white when going to a NTSC TV.Boxing day was interesting this year but you have another issue.
