A common cause are failure of decopling capacitors in the audio section, and or the circuit board power distribution that feeds the audio board. Most of the capacitors are surface mount components. The standard fix is to start by changing the circuit boards that have the defective parts. If the set is under warranty, call for warranty service. Have you tried to re-set the Aspect Ratio from either the remote control or going into the Menu setting & changing the picture size?This is the settings for changing different size of screen formats eg 16:9

TV is in Demo mode, Acces the menu and turn it off

If the whole screen is just white light, the the LCD controller (t-con) board may have gone out. Your TV can have more than one version of the boards inside.

Hit exit on your remote and turn power off and then back on.

Does the white screen say power only? If so hit exit on the remote and turn off the tv. Then turn back on and it should be ok. If it is just a white screen and nothing else then either your main board or t-con board is defective.

Check its main power regulator for the fault. If there is any loose solder terminals, this kind of fault can occur. Re-solder all the suspected solder terminals and check. It it do not help you, replace the power board as card basis.

When the picture goes out again, dim the lights in the room. Take a bright flashlight and shine to on the screen, do you see a faint picture?

I'm assuming this is your Red/White/Yellow outputs which is a Composite connection.On the VCR plug them into the revalent colour coded connectors (Output on the VCR) & connect them to the Composite Input on the TV (again connecting the Red toRed/White to White & Yellow to Yellow). You will then have to select Comp. or possibly AV2as the source on the TV.

i have the same problem with mine but it makes a crackling sound.I have unplugged and re-plugged but nothing please help

Check the power coming into the TV socket with a multimeter...should be around 115Vac or more. Try plugging in the TV to a different outlet in another room....maybe a bad socket!

Google the model number for specifications which will include a list of features the set has or does not have.
