A common cause are failure of decopling capacitors in the audio section, and or the circuit board power distribution that feeds the audio board. Most of the capacitors are surface mount components. Have you tried to re-set the Aspect Ratio from either the remote control or going into the Menu setting & changing the picture size?This is the settings for changing different size of screen formats eg 16:9
